We welcome you to El Granero, a wonderful house just for 2 where you can enjoy your holiday surrounded by the impressive landscape of the Sierra de Montánchez, in Extremadura. The house has been individually created using an attractive and imaginative mix of antique and contemporary furniture, fabrics and unique pieces to achieve a harmonious and welcoming home environment. It is definitely not your typical rental house. Located in a particularly beautiful area of the Sierra de Montánchez; famous for its virgin nature, tranquility and direct access to the old mountain roads and its towns. We also take our green credentials seriously – all houses run efficiently, solar powered and receive spring water from a bore hole. The Sierra is a place full of hiking trails, which vary from easy to challenging. Along the way you will find not only dazzling nature and spectacular views, but also many fascinating and unique features of rural architecture such as: the water mill gorge, numerous rustic hermitages, the Montánchez castle and the wonderful Visigothic basilica of Santa Lucía, located in a remote cork oak forest. Bird watching in particular is a pleasure as there is nothing to disturb them, so many species can be seen in their natural habitat, including the eagle owl on the Sierra cliffs above Finca Al-Manzil.
