Description
The Refugio de Pescadores campsite is located on a hillside on the banks of the Duero River in the municipality of Covaleda, Soria, in the middle of the largest pine forest in Spain, at the foot of the Urbión peak. An ideal place to spend a few days with friends or family enjoying the tranquility of the natural environment or taking the opportunity to practice outdoor sports such as climbing, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing or skiing. In the area there is a wide range of activities suitable for all ages, such as rope parks, via ferrata, mycological excursions, etc. Without having to take the car, you can opt for a walk along the banks of the Duero River, a foray into the pine forests to pick mushrooms (after acquiring a permit), taste the typical gastronomy of the area or take a walk through the center of Covaleda. A few kilometers away are other points of tourist interest such as the Laguna Negra, the Lobos River canyon, the city of Soria, the Cuerda del Pozo reservoir, the Fuentona de Muriel, the Lagunas de Neila, the source of the Duero River, among others. It is managed since May 2020 by a family business whose main objective is to make the stay at Refugio de Pescadores an unforgettable memory for campers.
