Description
A family-run agritourism property featuring five two-room apartments, nestled in the Mediterranean scrub and located just a short walk from the stunning Cala Violina geological site, famous for its quartzite sand and crystal-clear sea—one of the most beautiful spots along the coast. Our greatest strength is the pristine environment, characterized by extremely low levels of electromagnetic and light pollution: here you can admire a genuine starry sky, visible to the naked eye, far from the artificial lights of the city. It is the perfect place to find balance, slow down, and reconnect with nature. We are located in the heart of the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve, an area rich in scenic trails and history. You can explore picturesque routes like the Cliffs Trail or follow the path leading from the Rocca di Scarlino to the Etruscan necropolis of Poggio Tondo, from which our agriturismo takes its name. Nature takes center stage here: at dawn, it’s not uncommon to encounter roe deer, watch badgers or turtles cross the trails, or spot families of wild boars in the fields. As you stroll through the Mediterranean scrub, you’ll benefit from the phytoncides released by the trees, which promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality. Our agritourism is also an organic farm, a guardian of local biodiversity. We cultivate native varieties at risk of genetic erosion, such as the ancient grains Gentil Rosso and Andriolo, the Scarlinese olive tree, and Maremma saffron. Guests can savor our products: stone-ground flours, bronze-cut and slow-dried pasta, and cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. Here you’ll feel right at home, without formalities or rigid schedules, enveloped by the tranquility of nature and the sea breeze that gently caresses the air at sunset. We are happy to welcome you and help you discover the authenticity of the Maremma. Note: the products available on the farm may vary depending on the season and weather conditions.
