Why We Created Baobab Camp The idea for Baobab Camp came from a simple thought. While travelling across Europe in our camper, we often talked about the kind of place we hoped to find after a long day on the road. We weren’t looking for crowds or endless attractions. We were looking for peace, nature, clean and comfortable facilities, and a place where we could truly rest. That is how Baobab Camp came to life. We are located in the heart of Europe, close to the crossroads of the continent’s main travel routes connecting north and south, east and west. Many of our guests are travelling long distances and stay with us for just one night. We wanted to create a peaceful stop where they could relax, recharge and continue their journey feeling refreshed. Every decision we made was based on one simple question: “Would this make us happy if we arrived here after a long day of travelling?” From the very beginning, my wife had one rule: “After a long day on the road, I want to walk into a clean, welcoming bathroom where I feel comfortable and have my privacy.” That is why we paid so much attention to our bathrooms. We wanted them to be not only spotless, but also comfortable and private. The same thinking shaped everything else at Baobab Camp – the shared kitchen, fast Wi-Fi for remote workers, the wood-fired sauna, the campfire area and comfortable camper pitches. And above all, we chose to preserve what was already here – the forest and its peaceful atmosphere. Baobab Camp is best suited to people who enjoy quiet places, respect nature and appreciate a friendly atmosphere. Our guests include couples, families with children, solo travellers, motorcyclists and remote workers. What they all have in common is simple: they are looking for a place where they can truly rest. We didn’t create a place for everyone. We created the kind of place we always hoped to find ourselves. If that sounds like your kind of stop, we will be very happy to welcome you.
