Description
Welcome to our unique tunnel house that you will find in Alcalá del Júcar. Due to the peculiarity of the house it is considered a singular lodging. It is a house that, due to its location and uniqueness, we know that it will catch your attention and you will want to know more about its history. The tunnel house is located near the castle. It has very easy access by car, since you just have to go to the castle and right at the top you will find the access to the house. We have tried to respect and preserve many elements of the historical house. One of them is the stable door, for which we have placed a wooden door with two leaves, as it was in the past, which is where you enter the house. Once through the door we access the kitchen-living room, from there through a hole, we enter a reading room located in the heart of the mountain. From the reading room you can access a small distribution room, which gives access to the bathroom that has the housing part, which overlooks the village and from there to the real treasure of the house. It is the point of the house where you access the 20 meters of tunnel, which with all its strength and aggressiveness transports us to the greatest charm of the house, the suite Nido de Águilas, 30 m2 in a single diaphanous room with three large windows overlooking the canyon of the Júcar river. Going through that tunnel is like teleporting you from the bustle of the village side, to the peace and tranquility of nature, a real pleasure to look out at midnight and hear the owl and the owlet sing, or early in the morning, the blackbird and the nightingale, announcing the arrival of a new day. The house was used as a stable for horses, in the area overlooking the village and as a dovecote, which is now the suite area, when we started the works we recovered a part of the cane that had plastered with plaster, which separated the dovecote in two, (surely we will place it in the distribution room) which has a lot of engravings and inscriptions that show that already in 1925 couples spent looking for privacy.
