Babett & Wolfgang Eckardt We, Babett and Wolfgang Eckardt, caught the alpaca bug back in 2006. In 2008, we reconsidered our breeding goals and reoriented ourselves. In our experience, you can only be really good at something if you concentrate on a few essential details, so we decided to breed high-quality black alpacas. A herd of pure black alpacas is a fascinating sight! We are delighted to have made good friends in Robert Gane and Peter Kennedy from Canchones Alpacas, who were happy to share their knowledge and expertise with us. Our visit to them in Australia greatly encouraged us, and so in 2010 we founded our new farm: MIRIQUIDI – fine black alpacas. You are welcome to visit us and be enchanted by these gentle creatures and our ever-growing herd of black alpacas. For thirty years, we ran a large, very popular inn in the beautiful Ore Mountains, along with a farm with a straw bale house and an alpaca farm. But at some point, we longed for more peace and quiet. We fulfilled a long-cherished dream and built ourselves a chalet in the mountains – with everything our hearts desired. High-quality wood furnishings, a heated outdoor saltwater pool, a panoramic sauna with mountain views. We live in the farmhouse next door and enjoy sharing the chalet with lovely guests who appreciate "the sound of nature" as much as we do. Welcome to the "Miriquidi – Sound of Nature" chalet!
