Just a stone's throw away is the charming Studzieniczne lake, with its meanders and islets. Surrounded by forest, the property serves as a great base for exploring the most interesting corners of the Augustów Lake District from Augustów to Wigry. We live just outside the city on a daily basis. It’s convenient as long as the kids go to school. However, like all young people, we have plenty of dreams that we are slowly realizing. One of them is our own house by the lake. One where Maciek can sit with a fishing rod by the shore, where I can drink my morning coffee on the terrace, watching the kids splashing in the water. Finally, it should have old trees and a large plot of land. We searched for a long time, traversing the entire Augustów Lake District, as it felt closest to us mentally. We reacted to every piece of information and every advertisement. Soon it turned out that we could create this paradise ourselves. We found a beautifully located plot with a house right by the lake. The romantic aura immediately captivated us, although the house was drowning in underbrush, neglected and overgrown with everything nature had to offer. However, we saw potential in it. The house turned out to be a gem that required our love and commitment. And we had plenty of that. We dedicated every free moment to bringing our dream out of the abyss of oblivion. First, we tidied up the enormous garden, leaving valuable trees and shrubs, and also planting new ones according to our concept. It was quite a challenge. But it went smoothly. The real challenges began with the renovation and interior design. Maciek showed a sea of patience dealing with various teams and supervising the reconstruction of the house. Here, we often had moments of doubt and motivated each other to keep working. We searched for every detail. I touched every board with my hand, sanding and painting individual pieces of furniture. The pre-war beds from the Wajnman brothers added a touch of history and transported us back in time. The old wardrobes no longer creak, and the mirrors regained their former shine. By refreshing everything, we gave the house a second life. The stage of hard work is now behind us. Now we are very proud of our CzillasOrle. We invite you, feel at home.
