Description
Adopted an old, 80-year-old farmhouse in the Island Beskids. There are 4 houses in the yard: our house and our art studio, a small guest house and a large guest house. The cottages are located on a Hill, surrounded by nature, forest, overlooking the mountains. The windows expose stunning sunrises and sunsets. The large cottage is a project created from an 80-year-old barn, after which the structure and body were preserved. A fireplace and a terrace, where one can sit in the late evenings and listen to the crickets, add to the charm of the cottage. From the small house, sunrises can be watched without getting out of bed. The large cottage is heated by a fireplace. So you have to smoke to keep warm. The house keeps the heat very well, don't worry if you get cold. More than one winter behind us. The small house has convenient gas heating. If you are interested in breakfasts, let's arrange it in advance. They are not always available. Also let us know in advance if you would like to work, the internet works great in the big cottage, in the smaller one it sometimes varies. The small cottage has two 100-year-old single beds (which can be pushed together) and sleeping on a not-so-high mezzanine. It is most comfortable for two adults and two Children. Four adults would be more comfortable in a larger cottage. In it, the bedroom is on a high, large mezzanine, to which a spiral staircase leads. There, on the old soft planks are 2 large double super comfortable mattresses. There is also a couch downstairs by the fireplace. Some people sleep on it :) The little house has a large terrace where you can spend days looking at the mountains, or at the clouds. There is also a second terrace with bathtubs, in the shelter of the forest. You don't have to get up for sunrises, you can see them from your bed. The cottages are open spaces, equipped with simple kitchens that allow cooking, their own bathrooms. The large cottage also has large terraces, open to the sunsets. There is a parking space in front of the house. Both cottages have their own fire pits. Leaving the house, you can go straight to the mountains. The house on Fern Hill is a place created by us - two artists. Paintings, sculptures and furniture - everything that fills the cottages we created ourselves. We also independently run a small vegetable garden, from which we prepare breakfasts. I bake bread. We get other products from friendly small farmers. All day long you can hike in the area, climbing the surrounding peaks: Paproć, Łopień, Łysa Góra, or a little further to Mogielica or Ćwilin. Nordic Walking is very popular in the area, and green bike trails encourage rides even during hot weather. In the area we have two active ski lifts, where you can ski without crowds! We highly recommend them! We also recommend climbing to the Town Mountain (the embedded Cross is twice as high as the one on Giewont!) and from the viewing terrace admire the panorama of the Beskid, Gorce and Tatra Mountains. For those who are bored with walking and taking forest baths, we have something special - four rustic bathtubs, which we keep in the garden. You can have a bath with an amazing view. By the way, we recommend lying down on the grass, turn off your head, look at the clouds lazily flowing across the sky and just slow down. Children and pets are welcome.
