In Catalonia there is a popular saying: "Més content que un gínjol*", and that is what we are looking for our guests. To that end we offer you our house, designed with care and attention to detail. Rest, coexistence and comfort in contact with nature. *read "yínyol", fruit of the Ziziphus jujuba, a beautiful tree known in Spanish as "azufaifo". It is a 3-storey house of 110m2, totally independent, located in a 1,5Ha olive tree farm and is designed to offer you the best comfort possible. It consists of full kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, attic with terrace and spacious porch with barbecue where you can cook a fantastic paella with Delta rice! Both for the decoration of the house and its operation we are committed to respecting the environment and sustainability. Much of the interior design is made with recycled, reconditioned or "recovered" furniture and materials. The operation of the house is self-sufficient: we use photovoltaic energy for electricity, solar thermal energy for hot water, biomass heating, efficient appliances, we collect rainwater and recycle gray water; all to offer you a comfortable, modern, cozy and sustainable space and to make you "happier than a bean"! The house is fully equipped: wifi, stereo, dishwasher and washing machine, bed linen and towels, viscoelastic mattresses, and fully equipped kitchen with utensils and even with several ecological staples: pasta, rice, coffee, sugar, tea, our organic extra virgin olive oil, etc. The ecological house El Gínjol is located in the Ecofinca Lo Favaret, a farm of organically grown olive trees located in the mountains surrounding the Ebro Delta. A very quiet and isolated area, about 15 km (20 minutes by car) from Ampolla (the nearest town) and the beach, and the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta. For shopping or eating in a restaurant, the best is to go to Ampolla, 15 km from the Ecofinca Lo Favaret, or go to Tortosa, the capital of this region, 18 km away, where you will find everything you need: market, stores, restaurants and a charming historic center. A cleaning fee of 65€ is added to the rental price. There is also a tourist tax charged by the Generalitat de Catalunya for stays in tourist accommodation of 1€ per adult person per night, payable on arrival. House rules: 1) ELECTRICITY: All the electrical power of the house is generated by the sun and transformed by photovoltaic panels. All electrical appliances are low consumption, especially for solar systems. We have enough electrical capacity to live comfortably, so you can connect appliances such as chargers, laptops, razors, but we can not allow the use of high-power appliances such as hair dryers, irons, coffee makers, electric heaters ... 2) WATER: At Ecofinca Lo Favaret we collect rainwater and store it in a subway cistern. Due to the lack of rain in this area, we have established a system of use and recycling of water to help us make the most of it. Therefore we encourage you to be careful with one of the fundamental resources of the planet: water. 3) PETS: We accept pets up to medium size and that are well behaved. There is an extra charge of 10€/night and pet. Our 4-legged friends will only have access to the common areas, being totally forbidden access to the bedrooms. For our guests with pets we will place covers on the sofas to prevent damage to them. Guests are responsible for the behavior of their pets and any damage they may cause.
