El Molino del Abuelo: A refuge of calm and connection with nature El Molino del Abuelo is much more than a rural lodging. It is the materialization of a dream, a project born from the desire to live in harmony with nature and share this experience with those seeking to disconnect from the noise of the world. Located in Montecorto, at the foot of the mountain and surrounded by lush vegetation, this old mill from the 20th century was built by grandfather Antonio and his father Daniel, who chose this corner of Andalusia for its fertility, its springs and its inspiring beauty. Decades later, two brothers decided to bring it back to life, transforming it into a space of well-being, sustainability and connection with the environment. Here, every corner is imbued with a philosophy that integrates art, organic farming, healthy eating, recycling, bio-construction, yoga and conscious breathing. All with a clear purpose: to offer a retreat where time slows down, the mind is liberated and nature marks the rhythm of the days. Lodging with soul El Molino del Abuelo has five rooms, designed to offer comfort and tranquility. All have private bathrooms with bathtub or shower, slippers, bed linen and towels. Some rooms have panoramic views of the mountains, and all have free WiFi, ensuring a comfortable stay without losing contact with the outside world. Lavender Room This room is located on the first floor, near the living room/kitchen. For those who want to avoid having to go up and down to the second floor where the other rooms are. This could be your best option. Lavanda is a very spacious room of about 20 square meters, with a double bed. The windows are located overlooking the patio-garden of El Pozo and the courtyard on the east side of the house. Spacious bathroom in which we have played and mixed the river stone with wood rescued from old beams of an old dryer of the family, this bathroom has a shower (trying to minimize and take care of the use of water) Mimosa Room It has a double bed, the balcony overlooks our garden-garden (the small of the two organic gardens where we grow much of our food), and the pine forest that crowns Montecorto. The stream of water that feeds our gardens sings next to the wall of the room inviting to silence, to let go and disconnect from the stress that we often carry in the deepest part of our being. The mimosa bath is inspired by color, this little work of art is a nod to Gaudi, you will see how beautiful it is! Bignonia Room Beautiful room with two single beds (which can be prepared together or separately as you prefer), located on the second floor. The balcony and the window are facing the Sierra de Grazalema and the patio of El Pozo, the light and the views from this room are spectacular. The sound of the stream, which flows down next to the house, will accompany you with its sweet singing whenever you wish, when you have the windows open. The bathroom was built using local materials is a jewel, you can be showering with spectacular views of the Sierra de Grazalema. The bathroom is inspired by our Andalusian past, by the traditional constructions of the Andalusian farmhouses. Celestina Room Beautiful room with two single beds (which can be prepared together or separately, as you prefer). Located on the second floor. The balcony is overlooking the Sierra de Grazalema and the courtyard of El Pozo, the sound of the stream that passes next to the house will accompany you with his sweet voice whenever you want (open balcony). The bath of celestina is inspired by the landscape of the lake-panthole that we have near the village, in which the silhouettes of its trees. Jasmine Room Beautiful room with double bed overlooking the local orchards and the mountains, just below the room there is a stream of water that will sing beautiful lullabies so you can let yourself go with his song. Jamin is our most economical option as the bathroom (private) is located outside the room, on the first floor and a few meters from the room (the style of construction of the bathroom has been inspired by the Mediterranean-Andalusian architecture) Guests can relax in the common areas, such as the cozy lounge, the terrace with views and the garden. During the season, they can also enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, perfect for cooling off on warm Andalusian days. Being a common space and living with other people, we ask you to minimize the intense smells so that no one feels uncomfortable, since not all cook and eat in the same way. To ensure a respectful coexistence, please limit the use of the kitchen to the preparation of salads, snacks and the like, to avoid anyone feeling uncomfortable because of the smells.
