Welcome to the cozy Muckelwagen in the Wildgarten – a retreat that uniquely combines a connection to nature and a spirit of adventure. Nestled at the edge of the forest in Ziegenhagen, you will find a lovingly designed circus wagon that provides cozy warmth in every season and promises a special nature experience. The spacious shared bathroom with an Indian steam sauna (referred to here as "Sauna") is located in the main house, just 100 meters away – ideal for relaxing wellness moments after a day in nature. Whether you want to hike, read in the garden, or simply enjoy the silence – here you will find the perfect starting point for active relaxation and slowing down.   • Town / Village Ziegenhagen is a district of Witzenhausen and lies between Kassel and Göttingen in the middle of Germany. Right near us begins the Kaufunger Forest, which can be hiked 15 km deep. Notable are the many springs and streams right by us. A small swimming lake is a 7-minute drive away, and 2 larger, very beautiful lakes are a 30-minute drive away. Witzenhausen has attracted many alternative-living people due to its first federal German university for ecological agriculture, who have remained in the region. Witzenhausen is known as the cherry town, a Transition Town, and the fertile nature with its gentle hills and the remarkably future-oriented people have also attracted us here. The Parimal, Gut Hübenthal, about 8 km away, as a meditation center has also brought many alternative-living people to our region. Thus, Ziegenhagen has now become a mixed village of many committed newcomers and the open-minded long-term residents. The working group "Sustainable Ziegenhagen" now encompasses more than 20 projects from the communal "village garden", to a "village newspaper", to the shared "growing old in the countryside". Notable in the vicinity are the Kaufunger Forest, various spas, Berlepsch Castle, Ludwigstein Castle, Sababurg Castle, and Hann Münden: my favorite little town. It invites you to marvel while strolling through its well-preserved medieval town with its many small alleys and crooked little houses. The incredibly beautiful, gently hilly nature with its many streams and fruit trees is always worth highlighting, as well as the Hohe Meißner and thus our "Frau Holle Land" with the myth-enveloped Holle Pond, Holle Stone, and Holle Cave.
