SURROUNDINGS Pesués, in Cantabria, is surrounded by a green landscape typical of the region, with hills, meadows and forests of oak and chestnut trees. The Nansa River runs through the town, flowing into the Tina Menor estuary, a protected natural area where you can watch birds and enjoy quiet walks. A few kilometers away, the Cantabrian coast offers quiet beaches and cliffs, such as Pechón Beach. Near Pesués are villages such as San Vicente de la Barquera, famous for its fishing port and beaches, and Unquera, known for its corbatas, a typical sweet. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking, enjoying its mild, Atlantic climate. Just 20 kilometers away we have the Desfiladero de la Hermida, impressive entrance to one of the wildest national parks of our geography: The Picos de Europa.
