My name is Yvonne Jaeger, and I welcome you to my website about my country and vacation home in the Volcanic Eifel, which in my opinion is particularly suitable for a family vacation. I was born and grew up in rural Saarland. I probably owe my affinity for "life in the country" to these roots. Since the early 1980s, however, I have been living with my family (two grown-up children) in Düsseldorf, where I have been working as a freelance yoga teacher since 1998, specializing in yoga for pregnant women. I became aware of the house for sale in 2008 through my acquaintance with an English woman who had owned a country house in Kerpen-Loogh for some time and is now my friend. I immediately fell in love with the little farmhouse and bought it relatively spontaneously. However, I have to admit that until then I had never dreamed of buying a house in the Eifel. The house came to me, so to speak! However, the originally planned renovation then turned into an extensive core renovation. I bought the former farmhouse together with my husband 10 years ago, completely renovated it, restored it to its original style and lovingly furnished it. Only natural building materials were used, such as clay plaster, untreated wood, swamp lime paint, etc.. The energy of the house is therefore very special. In addition, the drinking water is supplied by a spring in the Eifel. I think the taste of the water and the shower experience speak for themselves. The entire garden with the flower beds was created by me. It is tended and cared for by me as far as I have time. The nature, the pure air and the direct contact with "Mother Earth" bring back childhood memories for me and always give me a feeling of balance and security! I would like to share this feeling with other people and therefore invite you to visit my vacation home and its surroundings and relax from everyday life. Here is the Eifel to fall in love with, experience it for yourself.
