After running a language school for eleven years where we taught foreign languages, we decided in 2003 to change careers and open two clothing and hiking gear stores, our first step toward the mountains we both love. After a year of renovations and hard work, we finally opened our guesthouse in July 2018, where we welcome and advise travelers and tourists in search of a change of scenery and authenticity. The dream of opening a guest house in the Southern Alps never left us, and in early 2017, we decided to take the plunge and settle in the hills above La Bréole, a picturesque little village at the gateway to the Ubaye valley overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon. For thirteen years, we have helped and equipped many hikers eager to discover the mountains of Europe and beyond. Every day, we do our utmost to give our guests a warm and high-quality welcome!
