Description

Welcome to Our Glade, in the heart of the Low Beskids, where symbiosis with nature takes place naturally, where the chirping of birds in the summer wakes you up in the morning, where in autumn the color palette is beyond the palette of the most famous painters, where in winter the icy and snowy landscapes delight the soul and the eye, where in spring every blade of grass charmingly awakens to life. A place where you can stay with us or alone, walk, hike, contemplate, but you can also peep how herbs grow, track down a deer or taste a juicy apple, bake bread or get your hands dirty in local clay. There is also a power of other things to do or not to do. Rocking in a hammock, peeking under nettle leaves and, when there are no worms under them, picking them for aromatic tea. Our Glade is not so much a place as a reality that is created anew every day. Our house is located in a tiny hamlet called Flasza, in Klimkówka in the Low Beskid. The house is built of wood and was built in 1928. In 2014 we started its renovation, which gave the cottage its second life. We try to do all renovation work on our own or with the help of local professionals. Not without significance is the great help of our friends and family. The materials we use largely come from our region, in fact from the area where we live. We use wood, clay, hazel and take advantage of the benefits of recycling. For example, the insulation under our floor is made up of hundreds of bottles, which we passionately collected and accepted from residents of the community. As a result, we avoided concrete screed. Also the furnishings of the house are items to which we have given a second life. In fact, most of the furniture is restored by us, each with its own history and marked by time, while blending with our original idea of the character of each interior. Thanks to the work we've put into renovating the house, we know exactly what it's made of, and we're confident that it's a healthy home where it's great to sleep and relax. Our house accommodates 11 people comfortably. On the first floor of the house there is a rustic kitchen, with a large wooden dining table, a sofa, a bookcase and a bathroom. There is also one bedroom downstairs, which opens onto a terrace. The other three bedrooms are located in the wooden attic. The partition walls are made only of natural materials, such as wooden logs, clay, straw and hazel poles. Everything is built with our own hands. From the windows you can enjoy beautiful views of the Low Beskid, as well as unique sunsets. The lucky and patient can even look forward to the sight of a deer, doe or roe deer. Evenings and mornings pass carefree with the singing of birds. And one sleeps perfectly here. Rooms: 1. Room gray- perfect for two people, but it will equally comfortably fit a family of four. It is equipped with one double bed and two single beds. The windows face southeast. Very sunny, spacious and comfortable. The room has a bathroom. 2. Blue room- has one double bed and one single bed. The windows overlook the northwest. Through them you can see the Beskid landscapes abundant with meadows and forests. The room has a bathroom. 3. Green room- is a cozy room with a terrace ideal for a couple. The windows face west so there is beautiful sunshine from the afternoon and evenings. The bathroom is located next to the room and also belongs to guests from the Swallow room. 4. Room Swallow-is a tiny room without a bathroom ideal for one person, but a slim two will also fit in it. Some say it's a sort of hollow, others that it has the cubic capacity of a tent, and still others are convinced that little gnomes live in this swallow. Probably there is a lot of right in each of these opinions. The truth is that there are those who would not swap sleeping in it for anything else. From the windows you can see the spreading branches of our centuries-old apple tree, you can freely peep at the birds and enjoy the uniqueness of this room. We live in a place from which you can walk simultaneously to the mountain trail, a beautiful forest and Klimkówka Lake, where in the summer there is a guarded swimming pool, and a little further you can surf on a board or go kitesurfing. Along the way anywhere we can enjoy the singing of birds, and for attentive and quiet nature lovers will certainly be an attraction in the vicinity of wildlife, in which our forests abound. The abundance of herbs, the diversity of the forest stand, and in season the rash of mushrooms are just some of the attractions offered by our area. Beskid Niski is Lemkivshchyna, and as far as tourist proposals are concerned, the attractions in our area are largely connected with it. Beautiful wooden Orthodox churches made available for sightseeing delight the eye and take us back to the old days. The most beautiful of them, in our opinion, are those in Kwiatoń and Brunary. In addition, you can walk to the historic Maziar Homestead in Moose, where in a pleasant atmosphere we will visit a tiny open-air museum and learn about the history of maziarism. A route leads from us there through the so-called Gorlice Pieniny, and additionally the route is enriched by a charming educational path. Along the way you can see the dam on the Ropa River. Some people come to simply experience relaxation and are not interested in exploring anything. They rejoice in walking in the wilderness, buzzing bees, reading books in an unusual setting and thus recharge their batteries. But there are also hiking enthusiasts, and these alone can wonderfully discover the secrets of the Low Beskid. They don't need any directions or signposts. We offer you breakfast in the price of accommodation, while you can still buy the option of dinner. We serve delicious meatless cuisine, mostly from local products. We accept all pets, but please let us know if you are taking them with you. Come to our asylum!

Many years ago, we sat on the couch and told each other about our dreams. They were many, but one, the most important one, was common. We agreed that we would move out to the countryside, to the mountains, where the city hustle and bustle does not reach, where the wind ruffles our hair, where the sun writes freckled smiles on our faces, where life goes on according to nature and the pace imposed by the seasons. To want is to be able to. So we gave ourselves a few years to realize this plan, and here we are today, sitting on a completely different couch, in our own home, rejoicing in a different life every day. It wasn't easy, but we don't regret a single day we spent on the trek to Our Glade.
