Als Wiener Großfamilie verliebten wir uns während unseres mehrjährigen Hamburg-Aufenthalts in die Nordsee. Und zwar so sehr, dass wir und unsere 5 Kinder eines der schönsten Häuser der Halbinsel Eiderstedt vor dem Verfall retten und liebevoll renovieren mussten. So schufen wir uns einen bleibenden Anker im Norden. Unsere Kinder scherzen immer schon, dass wir uns am meisten für Häuser ohne Dach interessieren - und so kam es dann auch… das alte friesische Langhaus mit löchrigem Reetdach war feucht, muffig und im Stil der 80er Jahre ausgestattet, als wir es 2017 entdeckten. Das ehemalige Pastorat war um 1780 in einem parkähnlichen Garten samt ausgedehnten Graften (Teichen) auf einer Warft (einem händisch errichteten Hügel, auf dem Häuser vor Sturmfluten geschützt waren) erbaut worden. Es liegt im Herzen der Halbinsel Eiderstedt, im Zentrum des romantischen Bilderbuchdorfs Tetenbüll, das mit der majestätischen Kirche St. Anna, dem historischen Kaufmannsladen im Haus Peters und dem denkmalgeschützen Ensemble entlang der Dörpstraat einzigartig ist. Dennoch erkannte niemand sonst den Wert der einzigartigen Struktur im Zentrum von Tetenbüll. 2018 renovierten wir das alte Haus unter Reet – begleitet und ausgezeichnet vom Denkmalschutz – als Private Nordsee Hideaway von Grund auf aufwändig und behutsam und statteten es in höchster Qualität mit vielen persönlichen Details aus.
