An extraordinary place in Los Molinos, in the northwest area of the Community of Madrid, just 40 minutes from Madrid capital, where your pet and you can enjoy an authentic refuge completely isolated in the mountains, surrounded by green meadows and at the foot of the peak of La Peñota, admiring the majesty of the mountains that surround us and where a variety of spaces and captivating places await you. There you will find the Refugio Casa La Peñota, where you can enjoy the meadows, forests and mountains that surround it. This austere house is framed in a sustainable and ecological tourism (no electricity). You can enjoy water from a spring and use it as a sustainable and limited resource. Magnificently built in a spectacular granite masonry with old Arabic tile roof is fully integrated into the landscape. It is distributed in a single space, a large room of 32m2 without bathroom, where you will find a Balinese bed and two separate beds built in ecological pine wood. You will have in this same space a warm and powerful fireplace as heating and a nice dining room. Ideal to spend a few days completely isolated in full contact with nature. And of course without Wifi. Outside you will find a large meadow with a variety of spaces that will captivate you, ideal for relaxation and meditation, where you can find your inner balance between Oaks and Cambroños. From here and through an extensive mountain to get lost in, with beautiful landscapes between valleys and mountains, you can make many hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking and climbing, being at the foot of the National Park of the Sierra de Guadarrama, the great Biosphere Reserve of the Community of Madrid. You can visit the beautiful villages of Los Molinos, Cercedilla, Navacerrada, Guadarrama and San Lorenzo del Escorial. You will be able to enjoy both the mountain and the surrounding villages. If you are a nature lover, we invite you to connect with the land and experience the satisfaction of being isolated from technology and modern comforts in an environment of tranquility and contemplation, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy spectacular nights under the starry sky. Once you arrive at the village of Los Molinos, from the parking lot of the Los Molinos Renfe train station, we will take you in a Land Rover for a drive of only 8 minutes to the refuge, during which we will explain in detail the characteristics and rules of the lodge. A simple place to awaken your senses, immersed in full harmony with nature.
