Surroundings The surroundings of Llanes offer an amazing combination of coastal and mountainous landscapes, typical of the natural beauty of Asturias. Along its coastline, there are some of the most spectacular beaches of the Cantabrian Sea, such as Toró, Barro and Gulpiyuri, the latter famous for being an inland beach surrounded by green meadows. The cliffs and buffoons, where the sea water emerges under pressure between the rocks, create a unique and wild coastal landscape, ideal for walks with panoramic views. Inland, the Sierra del Cuera rises imposingly, offering hiking trails through green valleys and small rural villages, where life goes on in harmony with nature. These mountains act as a backdrop to the Asturian meadows, offering a landscape that contrasts with the coast but is equally impressive. The mountains allow visitors to enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking and cycling, as they delve into the most authentic Asturias. In addition, the proximity to the Picos de Europa allows you to enjoy excursions deeper into the mountains, with routes leading to viewpoints, traditional villages and high mountain scenery. The rich biodiversity and the tranquility of these environments make the surroundings of Llanes a paradise for both sea and mountain lovers, with multiple options for active tourism or simply to relax and contemplate nature.
