Description
The "Retman's Cottage" house is located in the small riverside village of Wroceń. It was built on the site of the old livestock buildings of the former owners of the estate. The property is located at the beginning of the village and there is only one house, which gives a lot of privacy. Once you cross the road, the large 2.5-acre plot has sheds, a gazebo, a pond, a playground and lots of green space. The plot has access to the Biebrza River with a private shoreline. The name of the house "Retman's Cottage" is closely related to the rafting trips that once floated timber and goods down the Biebrza River. It was the "Retman" who was referred to as the person who was responsible for the rafting trip and commanded the entire crew. Caring about style and quality, we used many natural materials to build the house. Among other things, we used old demolition bricks from an outbuilding on the foundations of which the new house was built. The roof of the building was covered with ceramic tiles. Wooden decorative details were used, referring to the old wooden architecture of Podlasie. The external entrance and terrace doors were made by a local carpenter, from whose hands also came the wooden furniture inside the building. The windows were equipped with mosquito nets. The floors in the bedrooms are made of wooden planks. Beds are equipped with comfortable spring mattresses. The habitat has its own well, thanks to which the house is supplied with healthy and fresh water. Thanks to an efficient and comfortable (without blowing) heating system, the house can be lived in all year round. Fireplace stove with water mantle, in addition to aesthetic qualities, provides heating for all rooms. Distributed underfloor heating system in the living room and kitchen and radiators in the bedrooms and bathrooms provide thermal comfort even during harsh Podlasie winters. Opportunities for spending time: - bicycles (the eastern Green Velo bike trail runs through Wroceń). We have a rental service for traditional and electric bicycles. We also offer a bicycle trailer for children and bicycle seats. We provide transportation of bicycles - kayaking. We rent kayaks and organize canoeing trips on various sections of the Biebrza River - rafting. We run a rental shop for Biebrza rafts. During your stay you can arrange a rafting trip for several hours - sUP boards - fishing (own shoreline, boat rental) - hiking (Biebrza National Park hiking trails)
