Description

When we talk about our caves, we refer to an ancient village transformed into a charming tourist destination. In the Al Jatib Caves you can stay, rest, eat, have tea with Moorish pastries, bathe in the outdoor pool or in the Hammam inside a cave. All our caves have a private and intimate outdoor space. We heartily recommend you to observe the night sky from them. Many times you can see the milky way and it is a perfect place to observe star showers. The little ones can move freely through tunnels and slides and enjoy our space. In the Al Jatib Caves we have 5 accommodations that are cave houses of different sizes and completely unique designs Normally each of them has at least one double bed and a fireplace. The accommodations are all equipped with television, full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. In front of each cave you have a space with a terrace to enjoy the sun, read a good book or have a cup of tea in the afternoon... We have portable barbecues for our guests. We can add extra beds to each house and we have cribs for the little ones. The first batch of firewood for the fireplace is a gift from the house. Our complex has free WIFI for our guests. welcome!

Our recent getaway to Cuevas al Jatib in Baza, Granada, was the absolute perfect family retreat. If you are looking to truly detach from devices and social media and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be. The accommodation itself is incredibly unique; staying in a "cave house" built directly into the mountain was a highlight for us. It was quaint, spotless, and beautifully presented, coming fully equipped with everything a family needs. It was also a dream for our dog, who had plenty of space to explore the natural surroundings. The facilities were top-notch. We spent a lot of time in the lovely indoor spa, which was a huge bonus as it is kid-friendly. We also highly recommend the on-site restaurant; the food was absolutely brilliant. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated for outdoor enthusiasts. We were close enough to the Sierra Nevada for picturesque hikes and walks, and we even got to enjoy some snow. To top it off, the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful throughout our stay. We would go again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

It is a unique experience! We have been with family and has a lot of charm, the cave has everything you need, and when you're inside you do not want to leave, how comfortable you are, you sleep like nowhere else and the tranquility around is unbeatable, it has beautiful views and to eat there is a restaurant that is a whole experience of flavors, to finish we were in the hamman and we loved it. We would like to try it in summer as they have a good pool. The truth is that it is very complete. And the owners care a lot because the stay is unique. It should be noted that the Sierra de Baza was snowy and is about 20 minutes by car, we spent a very cool time. In general we liked it very much.
