Description
The Country Club Żywiec cottages are a place where kids have plenty to do, and adults have the chance to truly… do nothing. Or at least do only what they feel like doing. Set on a large, green property, the year-round cottages are designed for families—smaller ones for five people and larger ones for seven, perfect when a “just the two of us” vacation turns into a trip with grandparents, cousins, and the kids’ friends. In the 7-person cottages, there are two bedrooms in the loft: one with two single beds, the other with one single bed and one double bed that can be separated. Downstairs, there’s a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower—essentially the logistical command center for every family trip. The kitchen is equipped so you can handle breakfast, dinner, or a 9:37 PM “craving”: a fridge, dishwasher, stove, kettle, pots, mugs, plates, and cutlery. There’s also a TV, bedding and towels for everyone, and electric heating, so you can come any time of year without packing as if for a six-month move abroad. Each cottage has a designated parking spot—no need to figure out where to squeeze in the car with car seats, a stroller, and half the house in the trunk. The 5-person cottages, on the other hand, are a compact family base: upstairs, a bedroom with 3 or 4 single beds (which can be pushed together when suddenly everyone wants to sleep next to Mom or Dad), and downstairs, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom, and a TV. Coffee, tea, and water are provided on-site, so a morning lifesaver for parents is guaranteed. Bedding and towels are also included as standard. Key info for parents: your stay includes access to the entire relaxation area. An indoor pool, a kids’ wading pool, a hot tub, a dry and steam sauna, and a gym with an infrared sauna. The kids splash around in the water, and you get a moment to breathe, have a coffee, or pretend you’re doing something very important in the hot tub. If you’re one of those adults who really likes to work up a sweat—and not just mentally—the gym is open for you. The facility features a hotel restaurant with a terrace and a bar—serving breakfast, dinner, and à la carte dishes. To put it in parent-speak: when the inevitable “Mom, I’m hungry” comes five minutes after leaving the pool, you really don’t have to fire up the stove in your cabin. Just head down to the restaurant. The terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink while the kids run around the lawn, saying “just for a little while longer.”
