Cottages by Lake Sunia

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Cottage by Lake Sunia and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. We went there with the mindset of a peaceful getaway in a holiday cottage, not a five-star hotel. Nevertheless, the place pleasantly surprised us and offered much more comfort than we expected. The biggest plus for me was the pool and jacuzzi. After a whole day, you could really relax and unwind without having to go anywhere. Sitting in the jacuzzi in the evening is definitely one of the best attractions of this place. The cottage is well-equipped. The air conditioning works flawlessly – it cools and heats, so regardless of the weather, you can easily ensure comfort. I was also very positively surprised by the sound system. The ability to play your own music makes for enjoyable evenings and creates a nice atmosphere. The number of attractions for children also deserves a big plus. I can't fully evaluate them myself, as I don't have children, so I probably didn't even notice everything that is available. However, it is clear that the owners thought about the little ones, and families with children will have plenty to do there. I am convinced that parents will appreciate these attractions much more than I did. 😉 If I had to point out minor downsides, it would be that during our stay, something seemed off with the cleaning organization. The towels didn't seem perfectly washed, but fortunately, we had our own, so it wasn't a problem for us. We also had to wash the cutlery before using it, as it was probably not thoroughly cleaned after the previous guests. However, these are things that, in my opinion, stem more from a one-time oversight than from the overall standard of the property. We were in the left cottage. The fridge and freezer are rather small. For two people, it is more than enough, but with six adults, there might not be enough space, especially if someone plans to do larger shopping or prepare a significant supply of ice for drinks. 😉 This is more of a note for future guests than a flaw. As for the lake, I personally did not use the kayaks, boat, or pedal boat, but that was solely because I simply do not enjoy such activities. However, it is worth knowing that you enter the water from a pier – there is no direct gentle descent from the shore. The owner's approach also deserves a huge plus. At the end of our stay, she offered us to stay until the next evening, as the next guests were not arriving until the following day. It was a very nice gesture that no one had to do, and thanks to that, we could enjoy our relaxation without rushing for even longer. In summary – if someone is looking for a luxury hotel with 24/7 service, this is not such a place. But if you are looking for a charming holiday cottage by the lake, with a pool, jacuzzi, air conditioning, a quiet area, and owners who care about their guests, it is hard to find a better choice. Minor shortcomings happen everywhere, and in our case, they absolutely did not affect the overall perception of the stay. We left very satisfied and would not hesitate to return there again. For the atmosphere, the owners' approach, and the quality-to-price ratio, I give a strong 10/10. Pawel from Świątek
