Holiday Home Four Stars – comfortable holiday home with fireplace, sauna, and large garden by the Frankenwaldsee The comfortable Holiday Home Four Stars is quietly located on the outskirts of Lichtenberg in the Frankenwald, Bavaria, just about 400 meters from the Frankenwaldsee. The Höllental begins just a few meters from the house and invites you to enjoy varied hikes through nature. The holiday home has approximately 80 m² of living space and is situated on a plot of about 900 m² directly at the edge of the forest. It accommodates up to four people and is particularly suitable for two adults with children. The quiet location, the large garden, and the proximity to the lake make the house an ideal place for relaxing holiday days away from mass tourism. Amenities and Living Area On the ground floor, there is a spacious living room with a fireplace and satellite TV, a dining area, and a modern, well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and coffee machine. Free Wi-Fi is available. The bathroom features a shower with a continuous flow heater. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms. The first bedroom is equipped with a double bed and satellite TV. The second bedroom has a pull-out sofa bed. In total, the holiday home can accommodate a maximum of four people. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. Smoking is only permitted on the terrace or in front of the door. Wellness and Outdoor Area In the garden, a panoramic sauna is available for use at an additional cost. The usage is charged based on consumption at 0.50 euros per kWh. The sauna should be mentioned when booking. The holiday home has two terraces and a large, unfenced garden directly by the forest. The southwest terrace is equipped with garden furniture, a dining table, and a sun umbrella. Additionally, there is a charcoal grill, sun loungers, and a rotating sun island. With a bit of luck, deer can be observed in the mornings or evenings, coming close to the terrace. For Families Various games are available for children. At the nearby Frankenwaldsee, there is a table tennis table as well as opportunities for football and volleyball, and a small water playground. The stairs to the upper floor do not have child safety gates or barriers. Pets A dog is welcome for an additional fee of 25 euros per night. Parking and Additional Amenities Free parking is available directly at the holiday home. A public charging station for electric vehicles is located in Lichtenberg. Location and Surroundings The Frankenwaldsee is about 400 meters from the holiday home and offers a spacious sunbathing area as well as a circular path for walks. The center of Lichtenberg can be reached in a few minutes. Numerous hiking trails lead directly from Lichtenberg into the romantic Höllental with the Hirschsprung. Mountain biking tours can also be undertaken from here, including towards Bad Steben, Hölle, Schwarzenbach am Wald, Döbraberg, or to the nearby Rennsteig. Other excursion destinations in the area include the spa town of Bad Steben with its spa park, thermal baths, and sauna landscape, the visitor mine Friedrich-Wilhelm-Stollen, as well as historical castles and palaces in the region. The Bleilochtalsperre also offers numerous recreational opportunities, including boat trips, pedal boats, rafting, and excursion ships. For families, the fairy tale forest and summer toboggan run in Saalburg are particularly interesting. Other worthwhile destinations include the Ködeltalsperre with its approximately 11 km long circular path, the Döbraberg with the Prince Luitpold Tower, the Rosenberg Fortress in Kronach, the Plassenburg in Kulmbach, Lauenstein Castle, as well as the cities of Coburg, Hof, and Plauen. In winter, the region offers opportunities for cross-country skiing and downhill skiing. There are downhill options at Döbraberg, in Heinersreuth, Schöneck, and at Ochsenkopf. Even in bad weather, there are numerous excursion destinations, including the chocolate and praline factory in Lauenstein with the nearby Lauenstein Castle.
