Welcome to La Sosta B&B, a cozy loft in a monumental farmhouse on the edge of the Chaam forests. Here, everything is about relaxing, recharging, and enjoying nature. From the spacious living room, you look out over vast fields towards the forest, while the French doors lead you to a sunny private terrace facing south – the perfect spot for a cup of coffee in the morning sun or a good book in the afternoon. The loft is fully ground-level and equipped with modern conveniences: a cozy seating area, dining table, pantry with coffee and tea facilities, refrigerator, and an induction cooktop. The adjoining bedroom features a luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower. For longer stays (from 3 nights), you can request access to the large kitchen in the farmhouse section. La Sosta is the ideal base for nature lovers and active vacationers. Head out by bike or on foot and discover the beautiful Chaam forests and estates, or enjoy the outdoors in the spacious garden with comfortable garden furniture. Start your day right with a breakfast full of local and homemade products, or let yourself be surprised in the evening by a freshly prepared dinner from the garden. For breakfast, we provide a breakfast package in the refrigerator of the B&B with local cheese, butter, yogurt, and milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit jam from our own garden, homemade granola, Chaamse honey, and cold cuts if desired. In the morning, we bring warm bread (including a sourdough roll baked by a local home baker) and fruit. In the evening, we can also provide a meal, as much as possible made with vegetables from our vegetable garden. We also serve a small dessert.

Anneke is the owner of La Sosta, married to Peter and mother of three studying children. And hunting dog Brazza, rooster Harrie, and a flock of chickens (and hopefully in the future a pair of ducks, pigs, and sheep). Anneke grew up in Nuenen, studied physics in Utrecht, and then had an international career of nearly thirty years in the energy sector as a technical manager. It was time for a switch, a 'second career'. Being the boss of your own time and pursuing other interests, such as wine, regenerative agriculture, hospitality, and connection with nature. Currently engaged in an international wine education. With the goal of making La Sosta a place where every guest can live a 'simple life'. Connecting with nature, good wine, pure enjoyment, and qualitatively sustainable food from the own land. Then during a sabbatical, this beautiful monumental farmhouse in Snijders-Chaam came up for sale. It was meant to be. In September 2024, we will receive the keys, and in early 2025, the renovation of the farmhouse and barn will start. I quit my job. In March 2026, we opened La Sosta. Our farmhouse dates back to 1891, built by the Van Loon family who lived there until 2017.
