In the beautiful Eifel: The cabin full of stars, which we lovingly call "Star Cabin", is located right next to the Heidschnucken pasture. Here you can sleep wonderfully, cook something small, and make yourself comfortable…😊. The cabin is situated on the meadow behind our farm, with an unobstructed view of the landscape. Additionally, there are pitches for our camper guests spread across the large meadow. The Star Cabin is more of a "glamping" accommodation than a holiday home and does not have a bathroom. A shower, toilets, and a large washing and rinsing sink are located in the sanitary building 55 m away, which is also used by our camper guests. Our 400-year-old farm is located on the outskirts of Wachendorf, at the foot of the northern Eifel. Here you will find plenty of space on the large, mowed lawn, a campfire in the evening, sauna sessions in the clay sauna, products from our Heidschnucken, grill packages, and chilled drinks. We look forward to seeing you! Amenities The cabin is equipped with a spacious double bed and two sofa elements (lying area: 67x150cm and 67x195cm), which can be used as additional beds. Bed linen and towels are included. Inside the cabin, there is a kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, a regular refrigerator, and a dining table, as well as basic equipment with pots and a pan, kettle, cutting knife, cooking spoon, tea selection, coffee pot (French Press), dishes, glasses, and cutlery for 4 people. Fresh water and a sink are available in the sanitary building, 55 m away. A canister with 20 liters of drinking water is provided in the cabin. (If anything else is missing, please let us know, we also live on the farm and can usually help.) Outside & Fire Pit On the large, always freshly mowed lawn, all our guests organize themselves with and among each other. You can lie in the sun, relax, play, and use the fire pit and grill. A table, chairs, and a nice sun umbrella are exclusively available for you right at the Star Cabin. 15 m from the cabin, there is a free fire pit. A wheelbarrow full of firewood is available for 15 €. Sanitary Building The sanitary building is 55 m away and is also used by our camper guests. There is a very nice & spacious outdoor shower, of course with cold & hot water and comfortable privacy protection, a large sink, and a toilet with a sink for girls and boys. Additionally, there is an indoor shower with a unisex toilet available in the farm building. The Clay Sauna We built our sauna ourselves, heated with a wood stove. The pleasant warmth radiating from the thick clay walls can be wonderfully enjoyed with a view of the garden. We offer the sauna for a flat rate of 70 € for exclusive use. This includes: wood for firing, lighting and heating it up, as well as instructions on how to operate it. Food and Drink In the large refrigerator in the shed, there are cold drinks, from regional beer to Fritz-Schorle, for self-service and at moderate prices. We also offer you products from our White-horned Heidschnucken and other items for grilling. In cooperation with a small local bakery, we offer you a delivery service with fresh rolls. About Us We are sound play builders, designers, and multi-craftsmen. For almost 30 years, we have lived and worked here on the farm in the Eifel, a historic, listed half-timbered quadrangular farm, the oldest building of which is about 400 years old. The Manufactory & Factory Shop The farm houses our manufactory for musically tuned sound plays. Here you can get a glimpse of the production of handmade sound plays and sound instruments. In the factory shop, you can play, try out, and discover beautiful things. Our handmade sound plays are available here with exclusive factory discounts, and you will also find gongs and singing bowls, sounds from around the world, various items for playing and decorating, and the large cozy star assortment. The White-horned Heidschnucken Our herd is outside all year round. With this husbandry, we make an important contribution to the preservation of traditional livestock. You can purchase sausages, meat, hides, and other products directly from us on-site. Upon request, we will gladly send you a list of everything currently available.
