Description
Rotembark is a place that seems to exist outside of time and space - a village hidden among the Kashubian forests that only a handful of people know about, and in this handful are us - its inhabitants. Now you too can discover this mysterious corner. It's a tiny community, where neighbors can be counted on the fingers of one hand, but the atmosphere and relationships are at a premium. Located on the northern edge of the Wdzydze Landscape Park, close to the lakes and on the edge of the forest, the village has no store, bus stop or big-city hustle and bustle. However, it has something special - a history. Frãc Sãdzicczi, a prominent Kashubian poet whose works - full of local color - earned him the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland, was born here. Do you understand his work? Maybe. Is it a challenge? Definitely yes - but that's part of the charm of Rotembark. In this magical setting, at the end of a country road, amid rustling trees, we live: a family of three and our labrador Kora. Kora, a full-fledged guardian of the forest harmony, has taken an oath that no other animals will compete for her attention, so we invite you to join us without pets - rules are rules. Next to our house stands something truly remarkable - a house we created ourselves, drawing on the traditions of Kashubian architecture. Stones from local fields, wood from a barn over two hundred years old, bricks from Torun and thatch from Masuria - we combined all this to create two comfortable apartments, ideal for relaxation. Our plot is surrounded by a private forest, and there is a clear lake a kilometer away. Excellent biking trails and endless silence, interrupted only by the sound of trees, also await you in the area. If you are looking for peace, closeness to nature and space where you can really breathe, you are welcome.
