Description

The reservation includes a welcome basket consisting of*: - "Star Rain – Mallos" tea cookies from the Creative Bakery LOA in Huesca. - Bottle of wine. - Organic semi-skimmed milk, coffee, Cola-Cao, and sugar. - "VERI" mineral water in a returnable glass bottle. - Guara variety almonds from the Mirador de Piedeago itself. *In case of unavailability, these products will be replaced with similar quality ones. We offer you a unique experience where you can learn about and appreciate the sustainable use of resources. A place to disconnect from the everyday noise and listen to the silence of nature. In our viewpoint, we open a window to the cosmos, to a night sky free from light pollution where you can enjoy the night under a blanket of stars in one of our geodesic constructions, with all the comforts, while being respectful of the environment. The gratitude and recommendations of our visitors are our drive, inspiration, and motivation. Welcome. OUR DOMES: NABIELA AND GRATAL We have two domes equipped with a 1.60m bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, and full bathroom. Their names refer to Pico Nabiella (1517m) and Gratal (1567m), which can be reached by a hiking route from the village of Bolea. Although the sky views are 360º, the domes are oriented differently: Dome Nabiella, oriented towards the sunset, towards the village of Bolea, with its famous Gothic-style 16th-century Collegiate Church of Santa María, on top of its hill and towards the Hoya de Huesca. Dome Gratal, oriented towards the sunrise, towards the Sierra Caballera and views of the Hoya de Huesca. Faithful to our philosophy of Eco-sustainability, the electricity in our domes is generated by photovoltaic energy through solar panels. The water in the bathrooms is supplied daily with sufficient capacity for the normal daily hygiene of visitors (200 liters/day per dome) and although it is treated, we do not recommend its consumption. We provide bottled mineral water in the dome. The domes have air conditioning and during the winter season, heating is available through a pellet stove. Possibility of using air conditioning in heating mode in winter. For the battered health of our planet, please consume both resources responsibly. Wasting them harms us directly or indirectly. Don’t give up anything and Think Green! IMPORTANT: ADDITIONAL COSTS - Pets: 15 euros/reservation for cleaning. - Children: 15 euros/reservation for cleaning, towels, and consumables. EXTERIORS The domes are located on a property with fruit trees. We have outdoor furniture and parking area. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The last stretch of 200 meters is a rural road, not suitable for all types of vehicles. If you wish, you can park your car at the edge of the access road and continue on foot to the entrance of the viewpoint (5-10 minutes walking). SURROUNDINGS The Pre-Pyrenean region of Aragon is a paradise for mountain lovers. A fantastic place and very close to Zaragoza. We went by public transport and we liked the experience. The owner was very nice, very attentive to help us with all the details. The experience of being in a construction of this type is fantastic, plus they take care as much as they can sustainability and have details of good welcome with local products (cookies, almonds, wine ...). Without going too far, we loved the visit to the village of Bolea, the Collegiate Church and its viewpoint were spectacular. If I had to put a downside to our instance, it would be the location of our dome: it was facing the village, which although it is beautiful at night, it prevents you from seeing the stars because of its lighting. Better to have chosen the other dome, with a different orientation. It was also a pity the state of the telescope, parts were missing, it is known that someone took them as a souvenir ......

The stay was very pleasant and special. It includes a welcome kit with some typical products of the area and coffee/Colacao to drink. We personally recommend entering the dome from 19:00 in the evening in summer as the temperature is more pleasant, however there is air conditioning and a fan. The owner gives you detailed instructions on how to get there easily. Keep in mind that to get to the end there is a dirt road and stones with some slope and curve but we could access without problems with our car, but you can leave the car parked and walk less than 5 minutes. We recommend the experience. At night you could see the stars in the sky perfectly. We were in the Gratal dome, which is oriented to see more of the sunrise while the Nabiella dome is better oriented for sunset. Thank you.
