Description
According to the Danes, the happiest nation in the world, the most effective remedy for all the ills of everyday life is hygge, or comfort and coziness. We have this in abundance. It hasn't been easy at times, but we haven't stopped believing that we would fill these three barns on the hills with them, abiding by each other and not existing one without the other. And although the top floors of our blocks are occupied by comfortable and refined rooms, the common space plays first fiddle here. Because an equally important ingredient of hygge is being together: mulled over together by the fireplace, extended breakfasts in the dining room, an evening game of board games. And outside? Three large terraces and a gazebo with comfortable sofas will try to hold you back for sweet laziness. Try to break away from them, however, because it's worth it. A hundred meters away awaits Lake Isag, and we have a pier, kayak and SUP boards for you. On the Masurian hills, among old pines, oaks and beeches, we have created a reserve for the protection of the most important things: peace of mind and nurturing relationships. The reserve is three interconnected barns, a significant part of which are communal spaces. They are a common unity, but it won't be hard to recognize that you will relax best on the big sofas, warm up most pleasantly by the fireplace, and eat most deliciously in the dining room with an open kitchen. And when you feel you need to be just with yourself, you know you'll find it all in your room. You will enjoy the view of the lake or the garden in each of them. You will sleep royally, as we have taken care of comfortable beds. In the rooms there are two wonderfully wraparound armchairs for relaxation. For the working man, there is a desk so you can work comfortably (if necessary). Hidden in the desk is a small refrigerator, and on the countertop is a corner for making coffee and tea. In the bright bathrooms, you'll find a spacious shower and a long countertop where everything is sure to fit. There's a hairdryer and sweet orange and cedarwood scented toiletries. In addition to room towels, you'll get bath towels for outdoor use. You'll dry everything on the balcony dryers. Breakfasts are our specialty. They are served buffet style in the dining room with panoramic windows. Every day we prepare different hot dishes, and you can always order scrambled or fried eggs for children. You can also count on sourdough bread baked by our neighbors, a selection of local goat cheeses, honey from Grandpa Tadek's apiary, raspberry jam and black currant jam from Grandma Ania, real country eggs, homemade cold cuts, vegetables and fruits, vegetable pastes and freshly squeezed juices. Plus coffee, tea, cocoa and always freshly baked cake. On sunny days we organize bonfires in the evenings. Above the hearth is a grill where you can barbecue. In the guesthouse you can also prepare your own meals - after breakfast there is a kitchen available, where you can easily make a salad or reheat a dish in the oven. Direct access to the water is one of our greatest assets. A kayak for three and two SUPs await you at the pier. With the equipment you will receive kapoks in various sizes, including for the youngest. Lake Isag is a large body of water - perfect for both a short trip and all-day paddling. Access to the lake is via a 100-meter long grassy path. Three large terraces and a gazebo with comfortable sofas encourage lazy relaxation. There are also loungers for sunbathing, and everything is surrounded by a naturalistic garden where grasses wave in the wind and sage and verbena bloom. The terraces offer fabulous views of the lake. At the beach there is a mud kitchen for children, who can play cooking for hours here. We have designated a volleyball and badminton area on two hectares of land. There is also a sauna overlooking the lake, which you can use exclusively. Evenings are enriched with bonfires, and during the day we recommend bicycle trips - you should bring your own bicycles, we provide trailers for the little ones. In addition to the Reserve itself, it is worth visiting Olsztyn, Ostróda or Gietrzwald, as well as the open-air museum in Olsztynek, the forest arboretum in Kudupy and the Węgajty Theater. On site you will also find a mezzanine with the most beautiful view of the lake - a perfect place for reading from our library. A playground and a playroom with a large collection of building blocks, children's literature and games await the youngest. Children spend every waking moment here until the wee hours, while parents can watch them from the terraces, relaxing in garden chairs. The day will culminate with a sauna session overlooking the rippling lake. It's an experience especially magical in winter, when the snow is sparkling all around and the stars twinkle overhead. There is an additional charge for the use of the sauna - the sauna remains your exclusive during the hours you choose, i.e. no other Guests will use the sauna at the same time. For your comfort you will receive huge towels. Sauna: 100 zł/1 hour
