Description
We invite you to our small, cosy cottage, set on a large, landscaped 2,500 m² recreational plot in the village of Donatowo. It’s a place for anyone dreaming of a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by forests, fields and lakes, where you can slow down, breathe in the fresh air and truly enjoy being close to nature. Donatowo is a tiny, peaceful village with scattered buildings, right by the forest and not far from a beautiful, clean lake. Our plot lies on the edge of the village and is fully fenced, and the cottage is exclusively for our guests. The scenic access road is a gravel track through the forest. ## The cottage and its amenities The cottage has around 35 m² of floor space. On the ground floor, you’ll find a living room with a two-person corner sofa, a kitchenette equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and a bathroom. Upstairs is a bedroom with one double bed and one single bed. For families with young children, we also provide a cot, a travel cot and a high chair. ## For our guests to enjoy There are plenty of ways to spend your time on the fenced grounds—whether you’re looking to stay active or simply relax. We have prepared, among other things: - a brick barbecue and a fire pit, - a covered, enclosed terrace, - Wi-Fi, - books, board games and playing cards, - swings and a sandbox, - a basketball, volleyball and football court, - paddles for games, - hammocks and sun loungers, - a two-person kayak, complete with paddles and life jackets. And what else? The forest, the lake, meadows and fields, birdsong, fresh air, starry skies, bare feet on the morning dew, forest plants and fruit from the garden. It’s these simple pleasures that give this place its special atmosphere. ## Lakes and wildlife One of the biggest advantages of our location is its proximity to Lake Klęckie. The nearest access to the lake is about 400 metres from the cottage. There you’ll find a secluded sandy beach with a gentle slope into the water. Around 800 metres away, there is also an unguarded woodland bathing area with a car park. Lake Klęckie, situated on the border of the Brzeżno and Ostrowice municipalities, is the largest body of water in Świdwin County. It covers around 100 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of almost 14 metres. Its clean water draws swimmers and anglers, while the surrounding area has retained its intimate, largely uncommercial character. It’s still a place where you can find peace and a genuine connection with nature. The southern loop of the Kocioł Świdwiński walking trail runs around the lake, leading from Świdwin towards the Drawsko Lake District. The area is perfect for long walks, running, Nordic walking, cycling, swimming, fishing and picking mushrooms. Horse riding, diving and sailing are also available nearby. Cyclists will appreciate the beautiful routes, including the Drawsko Pomorskie–Złocieniec–Połczyn-Zdrój trail and the route around Lake Siecino, which is about 40 km long. We especially recommend Lake Siecino, around 7 km from the cottage. This lake is in a quiet zone and is prized for its excellent water quality. You can rent diving equipment there and explore the underwater world of the lake. ## Local treats The surrounding area is home to farms and herds of cows, red deer, fallow deer and mouflon. You can buy local products such as fresh milk straight from the cow, curd cheese, other cheeses, cream, butter, eggs and honey. It’s a wonderful opportunity to sample the flavours of authentic country cooking.
