🌺 PLEASE NOTE 🌺 Due to the exceptional location of the Chalet, right next to the Tatra National Park and the trail straight into the Tatras, we inform in the descriptions about the terrain conditions of the area, the minimum age of Guests, and our rules. If you cannot find answers to your questions, send us a message before making a reservation. 😉 🛑 We welcome guests without pets. Minimum age of Guests is 25 years, younger guests must be accompanied by parents. Strict prohibition of parties and noise. The Chalet is dedicated to nice, calm people, for whom it is natural not to wear outdoor shoes inside the house, and taking care of the place and cleanliness is nothing unusual. 🙋♀️ CHECK-IN 🙋♂️ We check in personally between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM the number of adults and children specified in the reservation, without pets. We do not check in late in the evening or at night. If we can expedite check-in, we will let you know the day before. 😉 👤 Our "mountain cottage" has over 120 m2 and is always rented exclusively regardless of the number of people. We have up to 12 sleeping places, but we are often visited by single couples, groups of friends, and families with children looking for more space and peace. Usually, for two people (+ possibly a small child), we offer only the ground floor of the building: a large living room, kitchen, fireplace, TV (terrestrial), coffee corner, bathroom (shower, sink), separate toilet (wc, sink), and the largest room #1 with beds of 140 and 80 cm. Room #1 also has an additional TV (terrestrial). For a larger number of people, we provide an additional bathroom on the first floor (shower, wc, sink) and additional rooms as agreed during the reservation. Current bed arrangements in additional rooms: #2 (160cm) #3 (2x80cm) #4 (160 and 80cm) #5 (2x80cm). If the reservation includes, for example, 5 people and each would like to have their own room, this is possible for an additional fee. Details in the Regulations. 🌲🌳 ABOUT THE CHALET IN A NUTSHELL: 🌳🌲 Below you will find a VIDEO from the surroundings. In terms of location, it is one of the last such unique accommodations at the foot of the Tatras. On the border with the Tatra National Park. Right by the mountains. On the edge of the Biały Potok clearing, where dense development has not yet reached and at the same time at a safe distance from the main road. The space of a vast clearing, forests, a stream, and the sound of the wind dominate here. In such an environment stands an old shepherd's hut that remembers the history of many generations of our family. Many years ago we decided to continue it and protect this place from the effects of time. A large part of the furniture and equipment (windows, stairs, beds, tables, chairs) is handmade or restored, as well as family and worthless, yet atmospheric knick-knacks. You will set off into the mountains without wasting time on drives and searching for parking. Two hours on foot down the valley to the first shelter and another two to the crown of the high peaks. If you do not plan long hikes, right outside the door there are trails for peaceful walks, and by our house, you will find deck chairs, a hammock area, a portable table with benches, and a place for a bonfire under the stars. The chalet is located on the trail connecting two valleys. Lejowa (and further into Kościeliska) and Chochołowska. Sometimes someone passes by with a backpack, but this is not a crowded part of the route. A leisurely, conscious rest in the midst of nature. With this thought, we create our places. This is our second home, which we have taken care of for years and now we share it with you too. 🚗 LOCATION AND CONDITIONS 🚗 🛣️🚦 The access to the Lejowa Valley is via a stony, uneven road about 1300 m long. You do not need an SUV, but it is worth driving slowly and carefully. Cars like Toyota Auris, Skoda Octavia, Ford Fiesta manage here, but lower sports cars may scrape against stones. Very rarely, but heavy snowfalls and thaws are possible. Then access may be temporarily difficult, and you may need to walk to the Chalet - keep this in mind. 🅿️ 🛻 You can park your car in the place indicated by us on the neighbor's property. Access is closed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. If you plan a late return, you can park on the roadside by the Lejowa Valley and walk to the Chalet via the trail over the footbridge. On a daily basis, we use the passage over the footbridge, and we only enter the neighbor's property if we need to take something from the car or go somewhere. We ask you to respect the night silence, especially near our neighbor's house and his privacy. 🎒🥾 Due to the mountainous terrain, it is difficult to use strollers or pull wheeled suitcases here. We recommend packing in comfortable backpacks and lighter, easy-to-carry bags. 🚶♂️🚶♀️ You must carry your luggage yourself. The walk from the Lejowa Valley to the Chalet without load is a short walk of up to 3 minutes. 🪨❄️ Natural areas dominate here. Ice, slippery stones, puddles, mud in places, thawing, slushy mud, and sometimes high snow are possible. Sometimes you may need to shovel the path to the car yourself. A shovel and broom are always on site, and we will keep an eye on you as much as possible. 🙂 🦋🪰 We sometimes have flies and small insects, but so far without troublesome plagues. They usually like to fly in through open windows into lit rooms. 🙂 🛟 WHAT WE CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE 🛟 Among the important things for some people, we do not have a washing machine and a tumble dryer. We also do not have publicly available WiFi, but there is 4G and 5G coverage in the house and the area. The speed depends on the load on the transmitters. Usually, the download is: 10 to 20 Mbps (sometimes up to 60 Mbps) and upload is usually 12 to 19 Mbps. People working remotely on their own mobile routers have not reported difficulties with the connection. 👍 WHAT TO BRING - OUR ADVICE 👍 ✅🚗 In the mountains, the absolute basic equipment for cars is typical winter tires with good tread from November to April. The roads from Witów towards Zakopane mainly lead through forests, where snow and ice persist longer. It is also worth bringing a small shovel and a broom for snow removal. Chains on drive wheels are a last resort, but if you have them, it’s worth throwing them in the trunk. ✅🥾 Pack your things in comfortable backpacks and easy-to-carry bags. It’s better to take a calm walk two or three times than to struggle with one heavy suitcase. Bring hiking boots, shoe waterproofing, and spare shoes. Sneakers can get dirty and soaked quickly. For extreme icy conditions, crampons may be useful, and if you need to walk through high snow, gaiters and appropriate shoes will protect you from wet clothes. Adjust your clothing to the season. In the mountains, you can expect snowfalls usually from November to April. Even in summer, when going to the mountains, carry a raincoat with a hood in your backpack, and if your jacket is not fully waterproof, it’s worth carrying a plastic poncho and even having an umbrella on hand. It’s also worth bringing headlamps and spare batteries. 🛞 ACCESS 🛞 Our address: Witów 304e, 34-512 Witów. Check if the navigation directs you to the entrance of the Lejowa Valley (instead of Groń 12 minutes further). We will wait for you at the gate at the time agreed a day in advance. 👀 NO DATES AVAILABLE? 👀 ⭐ We have something else for 2 to 4 people (max 6). A charming house in Witów. Agritourism based on grandfather Alek's former carpentry shop charmingly named "Sheep Behind the Fence". Very often behind the fence, you will meet... sheep. That’s what the kitchen is for. We will also send a list of inns within a 20-minute walk. Some restaurants deliver food right to the gate of the Lejowa Valley, 150 m from the house – it’s worth asking, as it’s just a short walk down the hill to pick it up. We have a place for a bonfire with a grill and benches, as well as a portable table with benches. In the kitchen, there is a large fridge, microwave, hood, oven, induction hob, kettle, bread toaster (this is not a toaster) and full equipment (mugs, plates, cutlery, etc.). For coffee lovers: a coffee maker, French press, manual grinder, and ground and whole bean coffee. We try to have sugar, salt, tea, and coffee (ground and whole beans) waiting for you at the start. We remind you that we currently do not have an oven, washing machine, tumble dryer, and publicly available WiFi, although there is 4G and 5G coverage in the house. 💚 What to do here? 💚 🌸 For those who feel the rhythms of slow and want more nature. We do not have a jacuzzi, sauna, convenient access, and parking right by the house. However, we have a unique place off the beaten path, without neighbors window to window. Just a step away are walks along the valleys beside their murmuring streams and high mountains for all-day hikes. Silent nights, the sound of the wind. Mainly silence. Much more silence than anywhere else. 🐑 Visits from sheep. In spring to autumn, the shepherd comes here with the whole herd. Goats also have their rounds. 🦌 Wild animals. You can listen for and observe them even during the day. Once a bear visited us at night (we have a video), but most often there are hares, foxes, deer, roe deer, badgers, small weasels, or large birds of prey. 🌷 Spring. The clearing is flooded with Crocuses. You can come "in winter" and leave "in spring" or vice versa. This mix of colors fascinates us every year, although as Hosts we should have already gotten used to it. You can’t. Every date is different and unique. ☀️ Summer. Children run around the clearing and build dams by the stream. There are also many other interesting places by the water, even more secluded. Hammocks in the middle of the endless clearing and the sound of the forest with a book. A place for a bonfire, where there are plenty of fallen branches in the area, and late at night the starry sky and dark nights have their charm. 🍂 Autumn. You might encounter the rutting season or a rare mushroom. The Australian bracket fungus, also known as Devil's Fingers. The palette of nature's colors delights like spring, but you can hear birds singing less often. It’s a time of quiet. ❄️ Winter. Snowmen, igloos, digging corridors and mazes on the clearing in front of the Chalet. 800m to the ski slope with a school for the youngest and equipment rental. In Zakopane, there is an ice maze, and we can give you contacts for a winter sleigh ride. 💦 Geothermal pools. Including the largest Chochołowskie Thermal Baths, massages, and SPA treatments. In summer, it’s also worth visiting the open bathing area at Polana Szymoszkowa with a beautiful view of the mountains. 🎭 Surroundings. A lot of attractions will be suggested by Google, so we won’t elaborate. There’s really a lot to choose from. You can also take advantage of ready-made tour offers like the Dunajec Rafting. A fantastic adventure. A driver picks you up and at the end of the day takes you back to the agreed place. We happened to be there with small children when it was pouring. The plastic raincoats bought in a hurry came in handy, for the kids rubber boots, and we in sandals, which of course got soaked because water seeps into the boat. Fortunately, it was warm. You will often find bike rentals and other equipment near the valleys. For children, there is a dinosaur park in Zakopane. Adults will not be bored there either. For those in love with history and art – museums and galleries. We don’t like crowds like most of our Guests, but if some attraction interests you very much, getting through traffic in high season may be necessary. On the Slovak side, you will also find many great places, but that requires more time and planning. 😉 REGULATIONS dated 25.04.2025 - rules for the daily rental of the house named Chalet on the trail in Witów STAY RULES 1. Monitored area. We welcome guests without pets, parties, or noise. 2. Only persons covered by the reservation may stay on the premises, age 25+, younger guests must be accompanied by parents. 3. No driving up to the house, luggage must be carried at least 130m. 4. Smoking is allowed only outside the house, at least 5 meters from the building. 5. You agree to sort waste according to accepted standards. 6. Inside the house, we do not wear shoes (barefoot or soft slippers, leave shoes on the racks). 7. We do not agree to bring skis, sleds, bicycles, etc. into the house, nor to enter the house in crampons and ski boots. There are rentals in the area, but we have no possibility to store equipment. 8. Do not take the building's equipment outside: chairs, bedding, decorative pillows, etc. 9. Air conditioning is used only for heating (max. 22°C) - controlled remotely by the Host upon request. 10. Close doors and windows when no one is present or when heating is on. 11. No WiFi, but you will catch LTE coverage on your phone. 12. At the start, we provide a large basket of random wood and an axe, an additional bag for 35 PLN. 13. Follow safety instructions (stove, bonfire, hot water). Candles, burners, etc. are prohibited. 14. Without our consent, do not change the settings of sensors, heating, water installations, etc. 15. We do not agree to mobile pools, saunas, charging electric cars, etc. 16. Night silence is in effect from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM: respect our neighbor's privacy, walk over the footbridge over the stream instead of through the neighbor's property, parking is closed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. 17. Found items will be kept for 7 days. We can send them back at your expense. 18. Leave a good impression: do not put unwashed dishes and cutlery in the cupboards, and place dirty ones in the dishwasher, put trash in the bins, if you have something for our hens, leave it in the fridge :) RESERVATION CONDITIONS 1. Stay without pets, prohibition of parties. Minimum age of adults is 25+, younger only with parents. When making a reservation, you must report the number of adults and all children regardless of their age. We will also discuss the necessary rooms. 2. You accept the conditions of the location: access road, passage over the footbridge over the stream, etc. 3. The house is always rented exclusively, but available rooms and bathrooms depend on the number of people or the conditions of the offer: - included is 1 room for 2 people, each additional room or bathroom is 60 PLN times the number of days of the entire stay. - the offer for up to 2 people + possibly a younger child includes the ground floor of the building without rooms on the first floor. 4. Check-in from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM - we require valid ID and the presence of the persons who made the reservation. Check-out: 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Hotel day: 4:00 PM to 10:30 AM. 5. Reservation: Without our written consent, reservations with arrivals cannot be made, especially if most people are to arrive on other days. A reservation requires a deposit transfer of 30% (currency PLN). No later than 7 days before arrival, you must agree with us on changes, rooms, and people and pay the remaining amount + a refundable deposit of 1000 PLN. If everything is okay, the deposit will be refunded within 24 hours. 6. Changes: Changes to the reservation require our written consent. The arrival of the agreed persons for a shorter period does not entitle them to a lower payment than the minimum stay and room occupancy. Reservations cannot be canceled, change persons during the stay, etc. Changing the date requires paying the remaining amount - possible surcharges for a more expensive date. Changing the date is possible once, up to 7 days before arrival, to a date within 90 days of the original. 7. Cancellation: The deposit is non-refundable. We do not refund funds for shortening the stay, changing to a cheaper date, or reducing the number of Guests. From 7 days before arrival, 100% of the stay amount is non-refundable. We may consider a lack of timely payments as a cancellation. Up to 48 hours, we can cancel the reservation without giving a reason. EXCEPTIONAL SITUATIONS 1. Reservation not in accordance with the Regulations / Ignoring the Regulations: Guests upon the Host's request agree to immediately leave the premises and parking and waive all claims and deposits. 2. We refuse to check in guests with pets and children and adults not reported during the reservation, persons under the influence of intoxicants, vulgar, aggressive. 3. Guests agree to report damages immediately and voluntarily cover the costs of their repair. 4. Guests are responsible for their safety, returning entrusted property in an unimpaired condition (surroundings, building, equipment), and the consequences of their behavior, e.g., significant damages for subsequent Guests. 5. Smoking in prohibited places incurs a contractual penalty of 2000 PLN. Losing keys: 500 PLN. 6. We may enter the house without prior notice to Guests if there is suspicion of a threat to the state of the property, the life of Guests; non-compliance with the Regulations; failure, activation, damage to alarm systems, etc. 7. We are not responsible for Guests' vehicles and items regardless of where they are left; extremely rare, but possible field parties on neighboring plots; quality of services and actions of third parties. 8. We strive to ensure you have a successful stay and respond to all reports. Unfortunately, failures do happen. If we are unable to resolve them quickly, send complaints to the email. 9.
