Description
🌺 PLEASE NOTE 🌺 🌺 It would be appropriate to start by describing the ohs and ahs, quoting good reviews, but first we'll write you that the location of the Shack is really special and unique, but it also comes with various inconveniences. These are not terrible for people who are familiar with life in the countryside, but we want to make sure that you make your reservation knowingly. Read the descriptions and conditions of the location carefully, look at the photos of the access road and the footbridge over the creek. If you have questions, please write boldly 😉 🛑 First of all, the ban on parties and noise is strictly observed here. 👤 We welcome adults age 25+ together with children, no pets, no parties. We have 12 beds, but in some offers the minimum or maximum number of people may be limited. The house is exclusive, but the number of rooms and bathrooms depends on the offer. The standard price includes 1 room for 2 people. See our Terms and Conditions for details. The choice of rooms for more than 2 people must be determined at the time of booking 😉 🙋♀️ REGISTRATION 🙋♂️ We check in personally between 16:00 and 20:00 the number of adults and children established in the reservation, without pets. We welcome you and briefly tell you about the safety rules. We will also give valuable tips about the area. If we have the opportunity we will let you know the day before that we can accelerate the check-in significantly, even from 11:00 😉 🚗 LOCATION AND CONDITIONS 🚗 🛣️🚦 Access to the Ley Valley is on a stony, uneven road about 1300 m. You don't need an SUV, but it's worth driving slowly and carefully. Cars like Toyota Auris, Skoda Octavia, Ford Fiesta can cope here. Lower, sporty cars can snag on stones, take this into account. Huge snowfalls or big meltdowns are very rare. In winter, after snowstorms, access may be temporarily difficult. Then it may be necessary, for example, to park at the White Creek Ski Slope or Ziebówka restaurant and walk to the Shack on foot. Particularly then, you may find it useful to wear stuptuts so you don't have shoes full of snow and soaked pants. This is the standard hiking route of tourists from the Chocholowska Valley Crossing bus stop to Lejowa Valley. 🅿️ 🛻 You can park your car at the indicated place on your neighbor's property, from where you will also transfer your luggage by a shorter route. The entrance to this parking lot is closed after 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. If you are planning a late return, you can park at the Funnel Valley and walk to the Shack via the trail over the footbridge. We use the footbridge crossing on a daily basis, and only enter the parking area if we need to take something from the car or go somewhere. Please respect the quiet of the night, especially near our neighbor's house and their privacy. 🎒🥾 Access to the shack is via a trail over a footbridge over the creek. Look through the photos carefully. We have prepared a special gallery for you with marked signs and descriptions. Due to the mountainous terrain, it is difficult to cart or pull suitcases on wheels here, especially when it can be slippery in places (possible rain, mud, snow, ice). We recommend packing large, comfortable backpacks and lighter, easy-to-carry bags. We often host families with children, but this must be your conscious decision. 🚶♂️🚶♀️ Luggage must be carried by yourself. From the Ley Valley it is about 250 m, but from the parking lot it is 130 m. If possible, we always try to help you. Usually such a transfer of all things takes 10 to 20 minutes. A one-time walk from the Ley Valley to the Shack without a load is a short walk of up to 3 minutes. 🪨❄️ Remember that we are already on a mountain trail! Natural terrain (earth, stones, grass) predominates, and depending on the season, it can be slippery. Ice, snowmelt, slush, sometimes high snow is possible. Usually you will avoid the ice or mud by walking along the side of the trail, but it can happen that with night temperature fluctuations, a large part of the area is covered with ice. Sometimes you'll have to walk through the snow or clear the passage to your car on your own. There will always be a shovel and broom on site, and we will be watching over you if possible 🙂 🦋🪰 We sometimes have flies and small insects, as is common in wooden houses. However, despite the location under the forest, we did not experience any nuisance amounts of them here. If you leave the lights on and the windows open, then you may unknowingly invite more winged visitors 🙂 🛜📱 We do not currently have public WiFi, but we have not been reported to have problems with LTE coverage from well-known carriers at this location. From time to time we play Speed Test on the phone. Depending on the transmitter load, the most common results are: download 10 to 20 Mbps / upload: 15 to 19 Mbps. If you have to work, bring your mobile router. If you do not work, we encourage you to take a break from digital entertainment 🙂 🌀🧦 We currently have no washing machine, automatic dryer or oven. 🗓️🔑 We treat your reservation and appointment with respect. We do our best to make your stay possible and successful, and we try to repair any defects on an ongoing basis if possible. Think about insuring your trip against sudden illnesses and accidents, just as you would insure trips abroad. Within the country, these are usually fractions of the amount of the booking. Due to the nature of our place, it is very difficult for us to find a reservation for your place, so the deposit is non-refundable. 👍 OUR TIPS 👍 ✅🚗 In the mountains, the absolute basis of car equipment is winter tires with good tread from November to April. Multi-season tires are risky. While they work well in cities, in such conditions their grip on the road is much weaker. Keep in mind that the roads from Witow towards Zakopane mainly run through forests, where snow and ice last longer. It's also a good idea to bring a small but sturdy, preferably metal shovel and a broom for clearing snow. Chains on the drive wheels are more of a last resort and we haven't used them in years, but if you have them, it's worth throwing them in the trunk. ✅🥾 Pack your belongings in comfortable backpacks and lighter, easy-to-carry bags. It's better to take a leisurely walk two or three times than to agonize with one heavy suitcase. Also take appropriate shoes for changing. Mountain boots, even two pairs, and waterproofs. Adidas can quickly get dirty and wet. For ice, crampons may be useful, and for high snow, stompers. Match your clothes to the season. The weather can be changeable, and you can expect snowfall in the mountains usually from November to April. When going to the mountains even in summer, carry a raincoat with a hood in your backpack. It's also a good idea to bring headlamps and a supply of batteries. 🛞 GETTING THERE 🛞 Our address: Witow 304e, 34-512 Witow. Make sure your navigation directs you to the entrance of Lejowa Valley (instead of the Groń 12 minutes away). We will be waiting for you at the barrier at the day's pre-arranged time. We will walk together to the Shack and tell you about the area. The house is a safe distance from the main road to Zakopane and, although out of the way, still close to all the popular attractions. You also have a regular neighbor who lives with his family 150 meters from the Shack, but in front of the hill, so you don't look into each other's windows. You will walk to the provincial road in about 10 minutes (800 m) along a trail towards the ski slope. There are also restaurants nearby, including the popular and highly regarded Ziebowka, which you will also walk to via an access road 1300 m, a leisurely walk of about 20 minutes. Lejowa Valley is just 170 m from the Chalet and leads to Koscieliska Valley, and in the other direction behind the house 450 m and Chocholowska Valley begins. Our unique location means that straight from the door of the Chalet you can plan day trips to the Tatras. Without having to waste time commuting, traffic jams or looking for parking. 🍞🥑 You cook whatever you feel like! We'll send you a list of inns within a 20-minute walk, and some restaurants deliver food 150 meters from the house - it's worth asking, as it's as much as flying down the hill to pick it up. We have a fire pit with a grate and benches, and a portable table with benches. In the kitchen awaits a large refrigerator, microwave, induction hob, kettle, toaster and full equipment (cups, plates, cutlery, etc.). For coffee lovers: coffee machine, French press, manual grinder and ground and bean coffee. We provide sugar, salt, tea and coffee to start. We do not have a washing machine or oven. 💚 What to do here? 💚 You will find some hints below, but the most important: do not rush, listen, be, consciously participate in the moments, do not occupy your head with unnecessary things, observe, feel oneness with nature. 🏞️ Close to nature A vast clearing surrounded by mountains and forests, 150 meters below a stream - ideal for children's games. You can build water dams, watch wild animals, feast by the fire. In the summer we spread hammocks and deck chairs. 🥾 Mountain trails and activities Direct access to the Lejowa, Chocholowska and Koscieliska Valleys. High mountains at your fingertips. For younger people - a cable car to Gubałówka or Kasprowy Wierch. Especially in the summer, it is also worth visiting the open Bathing Pool on Glade Szymoszkowa with a beautiful view of the mountains. ❄️ Winter full of fun Sledding, building igloos and secret tunnels. The nearest ski slope (800 m) can be reached on foot. We can also give you directions to a sleigh ride - just right for children, without long breaks for bonfires and games as is the case with sleigh rides for adults. 🏙️ Zakopane and surroundings Here a lot will give you a hint from Google, so we won't elaborate. For children, there is a dinosaur park or an ice maze in winter. For those in love with art, museums and galleries. The truth about us is that we don't like crowds, so we avoid Krupówki in high season. 🎭 Events In the immediate area, one thing is special and you can walk. Feast of the Forest on the Grey Glade (August 15) - competitions, local delicacies, highland music. These are just some of the attractions in the area and ways to spend your time, and you'll find many more on the Slovak side 😉 ⭐ If you run out of dates in Szałas, we have something else for 2 to 4 people.
