Description
Knapów Vineyard is located in Krzczonowice, in the Ćmielów commune, where there is a porcelain factory and the famous Living Museum of Porcelain. It is situated on an area of 3 hectares. It borders an orchard, which mainly consists of mature cherry trees, but you can also find other fruits such as apricots, cherries, peaches, and apples. Next to the climbing vines reaching for the stars, there is a golden strip of grain extending to the boundaries of the property. Within the orchard, there are beehives, whose industrious inhabitants ensure that every plant on our estate blooms on time. On this occasion, they gift us with golden honey. The entire area, along with the vineyard, is situated on a hill that attracted the interest of archaeologists when they conducted excavations in its vicinity in 2006 and 2007, discovering traces left here from the Stone Age and the Iron Age. At that time, items were found that outline the distant history of the land where grapevines currently grow. This adds a unique character to this place. Our Vineyard has been planted with French, German, and American grape varieties. These varieties include Marechal Foch, Swenson Red, Aurora, Leon Millot, Hibernal, Solaris, Seyval Blanc, Saint Pepin, and La Crescent. The path we have chosen for production involves using one variety to produce one type of wine, although we also offer wines that are blends of several grape varieties. The adopted method is conditioned by the desire to maximize the potential of each variety growing on our land. In the future, we plan to expand our vineyard with additional grape varieties and produce new wines. Despite the planned changes, the goal we pursued when establishing Knapów Vineyard will remain the same – to create a place where fruit transforms into wine, which, once tasted, is impossible not to admire.
