Cuevas La Granja is a Rural Tourism Complex of Cave Houses located in Benalúa, in the heart of the province of Granada. The contrast between lime and clay, perfect symbiosis of human work and nature, the silence and temperature created by its thick walls and the architectural originality of its beautiful curved forms, give the visitor a unique feeling of peace and tranquility. ALMARAES 1 BEDROOM SUITE The Almaraes Suite is a unique cave, with a very romantic atmosphere and a beautiful living room with kitchen and fireplace. The bedroom is very spacious and has a special charm: its decoration, colors, atmosphere...everything invites to rest and romanticism. It also has a bathroom with hydro-massage bathtub. Outside, a beautiful wooden porch invites us to enjoy the views of Sierra Nevada and the region. Almaraes is the name of an old farm in the area and gives its name to a beautiful winery in the village. It is supposed to be an old word that refers to the needles with which esparto grass was sewn. It consists of: - Bedroom with double bed. - Living room kitchen (fridge, microwave, ceramic hob) - Bathroom with hydromassage bathtub. CAVE WITH TWO BEDROOMS ALCAZABA The Alcazaba cave is also part of the original farmhouse of the former owners. It has a very good location, as it is very sunny and is right in front of the playground, groves, viewpoint, etc ... It has all the equipment: full kitchen with microwave, all kinds of utensils, toaster, juicer, blender, etc... The Alcazaba is an old Arab fortress located in Guadix and is in the process of restoration. The cave consists of: - Two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. - Spacious living room and kitchen. Kitchen equipped with ceramic hob, toaster, fridge and microwave. - Bathroom with shower. CUEVA JIMENA WITH THREE BEDROOMS LA Cueva Jimena is characterized by the peculiarity of its careful design. The living room and kitchen are at different heights separated by several steps, so that the living room is a cozy and cozy space with two fun sofas chopped in clay. On the outside wooden porch, we can relax, cook on the barbecue and enjoy the beautiful garden. Jimena is the pizpireta granddaughter of one of our most loyal customers and best friend, who named her in his honor. MAMABEL CAVE WITH THREE BEDROOMS The Mamabel Cave, with its colorful decoration and its careful details, is one of the most original caves of the complex. It has two bedrooms, both with two single beds and two bathrooms, one of them with bathtub and on different floors. Its living room is spacious and well decorated, as well as its kitchen, modern and with everything you need. Its terrace, of great privacy, has beautiful views of the Vega and the Terreras. Mamabel was the matriarch of one of our most loyal families, that beloved grandmother whom everyone adored and wanted to pay tribute to her by naming one of our caves after her. - 3 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 2 with two single beds. - Spacious living room and kitchen. Kitchen equipped with ceramic hob, toaster, fridge and microwave. - 2 bathrooms, 1 with bathtub and 1 with shower. THE COMPLEX - Cave for multiple uses. Enjoy another large cave suitable for the meeting of multiple people, equipped as a training room: Hold group meetings, training classes, yoga sessions. - Restaurant. Check opening hours and our menu with us. - Swimming pool. Although the Caves are very cool in summer (between 18 and 20ºC), a swimming pool could not be missing in the complex. Open from June to September. - Large solarium area with sunbeds and umbrellas. - Swimming area for children. - Playground. The Cave for the little ones is equipped with all kinds of educational games and amusements for children. Nestled in a cheerful and pleasant space, facing the most beautiful landscapes of our environment, it is the ideal place for the enjoyment of the little ones. The use of this service is free of charge and can be requested at reception. - Children's playground. This beautiful space is designed for the little ones to enjoy the outdoors. The playground is fenced for safety and has a soft rubber floor. - Forest and gazebo. An ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities: Walks, educational routes, games....rodeados by different species of trees and plants of our environment. - Relaxation Area: Yoga, meditation, massages, solarium, trails.. - Astronomical Tourism. We are certified as Starlight Rural Accommodation. The observation of the night sky is an unforgettable, relaxing and instructive experience. Its immensity will make you become aware of the tiny space that humanity occupies in the Universe, and of the magnificence and beauty of the planet we inhabit, making you more conscious along the way of the immense role that each one of us plays in its protection and conservation for those to whom we bequeath it. Characteristic for its Cave Houses and for the peculiar landscape and chromatic contrast that surrounds it: the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background, the reddish color of the clay hills, the semi-desert landscape of lunar aspect that together with the magnificent plain full of fruit trees and poplar groves, invite the traveler to enjoy the rural environment in a natural, different and unique enclave.
