A completely magical place. A small village in Masuria. The cottage is situated among plenty of trees, designed to be nice, cozy, truly comfortable, and convenient. A place to escape from the city and hide close to nature. There is something alluring here; it is said that you want to come back. Time flows more slowly and peacefully here. At night, on a clear sky, you can see the stars, besides the usual ones, thousands of others, as if someone sneezed into flour, seriously! There is space for four people, we have two cozy bedrooms with double beds and a common area in the form of a living room combined with a functional kitchen. In summer, you can sit on the terrace to enjoy your morning coffee or swing in a hammock, spread a blanket, after all, it’s a forest - and it’s exclusively yours with 8000 m2 of your own forest! This huge green part of 100 trees brings us the most joy; Mother Nature herself had a hand in the design. One of the walls of our cottage is fully glazed, and the sofa and armchair are located opposite it, allowing you to watch the tits pecking at sunflower seeds in the feeder in front of the terrace (it’s worth occasionally adding something for them; the seeds are on the top shelf in the first cupboard by the entrance), admire the pines swaying in the wind, or simply gaze into the distance. In summer, you can do the same directly from the deck chair on the terrace. It’s truly comparable to the best Netflix series! Attention, this is a forest. We try not to interfere with nature, so please do not expect a perfectly trimmed lawn - do bring something for mosquitoes and ticks 🪰🐝🦟. Regardless of the season and prevailing weather, the cottage is warm (underfloor heating in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom, convector heaters in the bedrooms). We provide fresh bed linen and towels (one set for the entire stay; additional linen and/or towels are available as an extra service). We strive to reduce our carbon footprint - we do not iron bed linen or towels. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, induction hob, and fridge-freezer. Of course, we also provide pots, pans, a kettle, cutlery, dishes, mugs, glasses, and wine glasses. A corkscrew and bottle opener are also available. You will not find an oven or microwave in the kitchen. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin and a large sink, with a supply of toilet paper. There is no washing machine, hairdryer, or iron available. We provide wood and a place for a bonfire - please take care of safety and never leave the fire unattended. The cottage is equipped with LTE Internet, but you don’t go to the forest to sit on Instagram! The password for the Internet is provided only upon special and clear request from guests - you need to send an SMS with the text "I GIVE UP". If the sound of birds (and the roar of deer) is not enough, there is also a Bluetooth speaker available. If the weather is not favorable, you can grab a book or play the board games available on-site. The best thing to do here is nothing at all. And if you must, at least do what you can’t do at home. A glass of wine and a book at 10:00 AM? Who's stopping you? Swinging in a hammock for 5 hours until your back hurts? Nothing simpler! Listening to birds while lying on your back on the terrace? Go ahead. Studying constellations? Only with a good dogwood wine! Watching TV - of course*. *only if you bring your own TV. Nearby area Do you like walking in the forest? This place is for you. You can also ride a bike (unfortunately, we do not provide them at the moment, but you can rent them in nearby Targowo). A 20-minute walk away is Lake Łęsk - a glacial, crystal-clear lake; the shortest route leads to a steep descent and a neglected pier (more for fishermen than swimming enthusiasts). There is also a municipal beach where you can safely swim (a bit further away, more suitable for a bike trip or a 35-minute walk). The cottage is located right next to the Kulka nature reserve - plenty of deer, elk, foxes, hares, and birds around. And in autumn, of course, mushrooms. In the village, about 2 km from the cottage, there is a well-stocked grocery store with a wonderful rural atmosphere (you will understand during your first visit). For those who want a break from cooking, 5 km away is the Targowski Dwór restaurant (where the mentioned bike rental is located), and during the season, you can order lunch at the Nemo diving center (you need to call in the morning to reserve). You can also rent a boat or kayak there. Further afield If you get tired of blissful silence and "doing nothing", there are more touristy (but also charming) Masurian towns at a short distance. Szczytno is 15 km away, Mrągowo - 31 km, Ruciane Nida - 37 km, Mikołajki - 47 km. Come visit!
