In the nearest surroundings you can find the Selga de Ordás reservoir where you can practice fishing or ornithological tourism, Piedrasecha with the Calderones route, the regions of Laciana, Luna, Órbigo and Babia and a little further away El Faedo - a forest of centenary beech trees - or the famous Caves of Valporquero, the ski resort of Pajares or Leitariegos or even the wonderful beaches of Asturias only 50 minutes away by car on the freeway. Riello - only 5 km from La Omañuela - is the most important town in the region together with La Magdalena at 15 km, with direct access to the AP-66 freeway that runs from Asturias to León where it joins the A-66 highway to Benavente and here with the A-6 freeway - communication axis that connects Madrid with La Coruña.
