Description

Kąck has no market, promenade, or viewpoint with a sign. It has a meadow, a pond, and a pine forest. I have set up two cabins here — deliberately facing opposite directions, deliberately with two separate entrances from different roads. From one, you cannot see the other. I only accept adults and I make no secret of it: silence is the main dish here, not a side. You can spend three days with me and not peek into anyone's coffee cup. From Wilanów, it takes you 25 minutes, which is shorter than crossing Warsaw to the other side on a Friday after five. You choose not only the date. You choose the landscape in which you will wake up. Bento One stands on a wild meadow by the pond. In the evening, a frog concert, in the morning mist over the water, during the day a sky that is unobstructed. On a clear night, you can see stars from here that are almost never visible over Warsaw. Bento Two I hid deep in the forest. Hammocks between the pines, shade in the heat, the smell of needles after rain, and squirrels that have claimed the terrace as their own. I do not argue with them. Guests most often write about one thing: about the animals. A deer by the fence in the morning, a fox crossing the road, occasionally an elk. Half an hour from the city. Inside, there is everything you need, and nothing you don't. A king-size bed, where time stops counting. You light the wood-burning fireplace for pleasure — the temperature is controlled by air conditioning, cooling in summer, heating in winter. A kitchenette with an induction hob, and in season, I leave a basket of vegetables from the garden by the door. For those who can't start the day without coffee: Chemex, Aeropress, moka pot, and a supply of good coffee. For those who need to work: fiber optic 200 Mbps. For those who don’t need to do anything: board games and books. There is no television. In the bathroom, eco-friendly cosmetics, and the toilet is Swedish, separating — I mention this directly so there are no surprises on site: it works without water, has no smell, and after the first use, no one thinks about it anymore. If you feel like moving Forest trails start at the doorstep, bikes are on site. In July, blueberries, in autumn mushrooms, next to a stud farm, and a bit further, the Świder River with kayaking trips. In the evening, a bonfire that lasts an hour longer than you planned. And a car is not needed here, you can reach it by public transport from Warsaw, the bus stop is 300 meters from the cabins. I do not promise attractions. I promise that for a few days, no one will want anything from you.

Starting with the cottage. The cottage itself is divine, small but that's its charm. Inside is clean and neat, and the furnishings themselves are very ergonometric. During our entire stay we did not lack anything. The kitchen is equipped for 5, the only thing missing is a kettle, although this did not reduce the comfort in any way. Air conditioning will provide the right temperature, and for those who like the classics there is a stove of the type "Koza". It heats all night, until the morning. The owner is a smug man. We were welcomed on the first day and after a pleasant conversation he told us about the area and places worth seeing. We had all the time contact with the owner. Very nice and praiseworthy were the questions if we missed something or if we need something. The surroundings are enchanting, the forest paths are beautiful and charming, and the places that the owner mentioned to us made the trip even more pleasant. The cottages are a short distance away about 100m but this did not cause any problems with privacy, thanks to the wall of trees, with other guests we hardly saw each other. I sincerely recommend the place for relaxation, especially away from people and when you feel like taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

When I first got here childhood memories awoke: carefree summer days spent at my grandmother's house, her garden with the whitewashed trunks of apple trees that bloomed so beautifully and bore delicious fruit, the smell of the earth after the rain, bathing in a tin tub exposed to the garden, warmed by the sun, the taste of apple pie.... I stayed. The roar of cars replaced the croaking of frogs and the hum of trees, stepping on dry spruce needles became a meditation, the crowd was replaced by a randomly met elk or a deer running across the road. It is with great joy that I invite you here.
