The Blue Porch is a century-old cottage in Podlasie - beautifully located in the valley of the Orlanka River, on the southern outskirts of the Bialowieza Forest - in a village that feels as if time has stopped there. The cottage, can be described by the slogan full vintage - like a time machine will take you on a journey to the old times, where people lived close and in the rhythm of nature - raw and simple. We are at the initial stage of its adaptation, that is, before the renovation - we are framing it artistically and, with the persistence of a maniac, trying to preserve the old-fashioned character and Podlasie style. However, we added a few amenities at the outset, and it turned out that these minimum comforts of hot water and a toilet inside the house were enough to make us happy. And that's what's most exciting - you have a unique opportunity to see a century-old cottage in its most authentic incarnation, before some of that charm is irretrievably lost to the functionality we as modern people demand from our own homes. So what does the interior of our retro cottage hide? A kitchen chamber and two rooms with two double beds and a single bed - this living area is heated by two tiled stoves, as well as a vestibule and a former utility room, which we are converting into a bathroom - here the stoves no longer reach with their power, so in winter the temperature in the toilet does not spoil, but in summer there are no such inconveniences - the whole house is pleasantly cool. The avant-garde solution in our kitchen is a bathtub - incorporated behind a curtain into a corner, just behind the tiled kitchen - if you wish, so you can experience a bath without losing the thread in conversation while cooking together, it also sounds like a scenario for a perfect date - she bathes and he cooks, or vice versa :) What else can surprise and delight you? - In winter, it can be the pleasure of cooking over a live fire, and a bread oven is also ideal for pizza. And in summer it will be lazy bliss in a hammock, on a large terrace with an insane view of the meadow on the banks of the Orlanka - the same one where you can pitch tents. We do not acknowledge the lawns, the meadow floral meadow reaches all the way to the terrace. When you decide to leave the house, don't rush - do it the Podlasie way - first sit and drink coffee on a bench in front of the house, because just around the corner there are forests, meadows and kilometers of walking paths, ideal bicycle or cross-country ski trails and picturesque villages with historic wooden architecture. At night, be sure to look up at the sky - the lights of the lighthouses go out exactly at 10:00 pm and from then on you can enjoy the starry, pitch-dark sky. No more than 20 minutes on foot through forests and fields (bison like it here, too) you will encounter a small lagoon - if you are a walrus or, conversely, an avid, beachcomber you will surely appreciate it! We also have something extra - a real countryside spa - you can enjoy a massage on site, and soon also a sauna! We have bicycles for guests - currently in stock 2 adult , 1 youth and 2 children's. Dogs are very welcome, you must take into account that the area is unfenced, but the neighborhood is safe. Nearby is "Inn u Jana" , where you can drive up for dinner.
