Description
Complete seclusion from the world! House on a hill, surrounded by fields, meadows and forest. Family-owned, authentic, with a beautiful history of nearly 100 years. Painstakingly renovated, warm and clean. A kind of gateway to Belarus and a place on the path of a freely roaming herd of bison. Here the landscape calms, the air heals, the cuckoo's cuckoo's cawing rejoices, and the work of the bees and the clatter of the woodpecker inspires. Peace and quiet for free. You are cordially invited! Knyszewicze Cottage allows you to taste the peaceful, harmonized with nature old country life: draw spring water from the well in the courtyard, prepare food on a live fire, bake it in the spirit room, smoke it in the kitchen smokehouse. Here you'll experience the old taste of eggs from happy hens or taste sourdough bread baked by your hosts. Cheese, milk or cream can be purchased from neighboring farmers, or at the market in the nearby town. In spring and summer, take care of the village garden, harvesting vegetables, fruits, digging potatoes and preparing dishes from them. A hand scythe and tall grass await the brave. After the toil of work, rest on a bench in the shade of a nearly century-old linden tree and enjoy the fresh air of the prepared dishes. Having finished the meal, take an afternoon nap in a hammock under an apple tree, even more delicious than lunch. In autumn, go mushroom picking in the nearby woods, make dishes out of them or dry and pickle them. Also at this time of year, the old orchard always generously offers its harvest. In winter, on the other hand, chop wood and burn in the stoves, and after the toil of the day, sit in a comfortable rocking chair and warm yourself with the warmth of the flames dancing in the fireplace. The cottage offers close proximity to the forest, walking in the hills, stalking and "hunting" with a camera lens for game. And if you are lucky, you can even stay out of the house and watch free-living forest animals (moose, roe deer, hares, wild boar) through the windows. In the vicinity of Knyszewicze Cottage you can encounter a wandering herd of bison. It's also a great place for bicycle trips along forest and dirt paths in the Sokolskie Hills, from where you can see the mysterious Belarus. I wish that my modest, wooden, country cottage and the surrounding cottage would become a refuge for anyone who needs to get away from the rushing world, stop for a while and relax. Dear guests, feel at home.
