Description
On the southern slopes of the highest peak of the Beskid Wyspowy, rising to 800 m above sea level, lies a place with a history. An old, forgotten building – abandoned for decades – was found by us almost entirely overgrown. Animals from the forest have made their home in the walls of its cool cellar, and time and weather would probably have written the last verses of its story. If it weren't for the decision to renovate, today there would be no trace of it. With the help of local craftsmen and reclaimed materials – wood from an old barn, old stones – we have given this place new life. A space has emerged that combines the spirit of the region with the comfort of modernity. Panoramic glazing opens the house to the south, the gazebo and terrace face the mountains, and the formerly neglected room has been transformed into a cozy bedroom. We recreated part of the meadow from seeds found in the attic – today it blooms again under the sky. The view from the terrace resembles that from mountain towers – you can see the Tatra Mountains, Gorce, Pieniny, and the Beskids (Wyspowy and Sądecki). In winter, the hot tub and soft snowdrifts make you feel like you're in a fairy tale – right outside the door, you can start sledding. In summer – clean air and space perfect for flying kites. Right next to it run mountain trails – just 90 meters away, you can find yourself on one of the over 25 kilometers of marked routes around Mount Mogielica. The area lives to the rhythm of nature – you can hear the characteristic calls of the corncrake, although it is hard to spot. Sometimes, a black cricket will dart before your eyes, adding its own music to the place. This is not just a house – it is a viewpoint, a haven, and an invitation to rest in nature. Come and see what the world looks like from this height.
