Description
On the southern slopes of the highest culmination of the Beskid Wyspowy, rising 800 meters above sea level, hides a place that has almost disappeared from the map. An old, forgotten building - abandoned for decades - was found by us in a state of almost complete decay. Animals from the forest have made their home within its cool walls, and time and weather have written the last lines of its history. If not for the decision to renovate it, there would be no trace of it today. With the help of local craftsmen and recycled materials - wood from the old barn, stones from the original foundations - we gave the place new life. The result is a space that combines the spirit of the region with the comforts of modernity. Panoramic glazing opens the house to the south, the gazebo and terrace face the mountains, and the former barn has been turned into a cozy bedroom. We recreated part of the meadow from seeds found in the attic - today it is once again flourishing under the sky. The view that stretches from the terrace resembles that from the mountain towers - you can see the Tatra Mountains, the Gorce Mountains, the Pieniny Mountains and the Beskids (Wyspowy and Sadecki). In winter, on the other hand, the hot tub and soft snowdrifts make you feel like you're in a fairy tale - right on your doorstep you can start sledding. In summer - clean air and space ideal for flying kites. Right next door there are mountain trails - after just 90 meters you can find yourself on one of the more than 25 kilometers of marked trails around the Mogielica mountain. The area is alive with the rhythm of nature - you can hear the characteristic calls of corncrakes, although it is difficult to spot them. Sometimes a black cricket flashes before your eyes, adding its own music to the place. It's not just a house - it's a viewpoint, a haven and an invitation to relax in nature. Come and see what the world looks like from this height.
