Description

Somewhere out there, in Lower Silesia, among the fields and forests, away from the rush of big city life, like an oasis in the desert, grows the village of Gajowka. Already the picturesque narrow roads leading to this enclave of peace and quiet will make you slow down, and when you get off.... you'll be in another world. The nature surrounding the village, the fresh air and the view of the Jizera Mountains draws you in like a magnet of relaxation. A weekend in Gajowka is like a week at the spa. Except that here ... you don't need anything, you don't rush anywhere, you don't need anything.... You are here and now and absorb with all your being what is most beautiful in nature. In Gajowka you live close to nature, without hurry. Time flows here with its own rhythm and allows people to be human. People are cheerful, hardworking and helpful. "Horses!" - shouts our daughter every time we enter the Grove. In the farmyards hens cluck, roosters crow and rabbits wrinkle their noses. Deer run across the meadows, and frogs and cranes give a concert on the nearby ponds. Spring, autumn, summer and winter. Each season has its own charm and character here. At each season, nature looks different and sounds different. Listen to the silence of the Grove and you will hear the sounds of nature. A whole house just for you and your loved ones. Imagine a house where every stone, every brick and every beam is a different story. The visible work of human hands from centuries, decades and years ago creates a unique atmosphere that transports you to another world. We put at your disposal fully renovated rooms, preserving original materials and furniture, which here got a second life. Downstairs we have a large open space, namely a living room with a kitchenette, where the most impressive is the high ceiling. There are two comfortable sofas and a large wooden table. Upstairs at your disposal are three bedrooms, where there are two 2-person beds, two 1-person beds and two extra beds. One of the bedrooms is prepared for children so younger guests will find games and toys to make their stay more pleasant. Of course, the house also has a comfortable bathroom with a shower. Shared preparation of meals, lazy breakfasts and evening possessions will be made pleasant by the clay oven, which enjoys not only in the winter evenings. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and utensils. All framed by furniture far from the Ikea standard. Grab one of the books from our library, a glass of wine or a mug of tea and recline on the comfortable sofa. The atmospheric light and fairy-tale-like interior will transport you to a new dimension of relaxation. In the price of your stay we provide: - a small ,,what not" chilled in the basement, - wood for the fireplace and campfire, - barbecue, - coffee, tea, spices and everything you will find in the kitchen, - delicious drinking water from the spring at the tap, - bedding, towels, hygiene products, - Wi-fi. The grove is an ideal place for lovers of hiking, trekking and Nordic walking. The multitude of trails allows you to adjust their time and distance for both a long trip and a short excursion with children. Away from the crowded trails you will relax and unwind. Hundreds of kilometers of trails in the area around Gajowka are a paradise for lovers of two wheels. The road gently ascends then descends again. Subsequent turns tempt you to press harder on the pedals and see what lies behind. The views compensate for the hardships, and frequent stopping points allow you to rest. In the higher parts of the mountains, designated, well-prepared Single Track trails await. In addition, we toss out a few ideas for hikes in the area: - Rębiszów Ponds, - Czocha Castle, - Grodziec Castle, - Chojnik Castle, - Gryf Castle, - St. Leopold's Chapel, - Kargul and Pawlak Museum in Lubomierz, - Świeradów Zdrój, - Gryfów Śląski, - Lwówek Śląski, - Geopark in Krobica, - Huta Julia, - Gondola railroad to Stóg Izerski, - Jakuszyce. You are welcome, make yourself comfortable here. From here you do not want to leave. Here you always want to come back.

A wonderful place for those who want a break from the daily hustle and bustle, crowds of people and rush. A great base for short trips to Swieradow, Szklarska Poreba or even Görlitz. We had a wonderful rest reading in the shade of a linden tree, enjoying the views and warming ourselves in the evenings by the fire. We recommend wholeheartedly and will probably return:)

Very, atmospheric place where you can relax in silence and without the hustle and bustle.Very consistent interior design, lots of books, candles to make you reset. The weather was perfect and beautifully winter completed the effect. The house is close to a well-maintained winter road,so we had no problem leaving, and through the kitchen windows we watched a herd of deer. The kitchen is very well equipped, maybe a microwave would be useful, but not everyone needs it.Good contact with the owner.Highly recommend

Hey there beyond the seven forests, six mountains and five rivers! You are greeted by Emilia, Tymek, Nela and Alexander - ETNA for short. This Italian volcano characterizes our family quite well, and that is why we are not suitable for All Inclusive hotels - at the very thought we start to smoke and bubble. We value peace and quiet away from crowded boardwalks, cotton candy and stalls with ciupagi. Every time we spend time in the Grove, our behavior changes. We slow down, listen to nature, gaze at the fire and the sky full of stars. Transformed into a home: wood, stone and brick, they have protected successive generations for 300 years. It is here in the part of Lower Silesia, at the meeting point of three countries, that you will find the largest number of similar half-timbered houses. Visiting the area you will see them in different corners, some beautifully restored, others covered with plaster and Styrofoam, and some dilapidated.... buried by time. As soon as you cross the threshold, you'll get a sense of what a unique home you've found yourself in. You will see and touch history from the inside. You'll appreciate the carpenters' work, intricate in its simplicity. The arched vaults thick barrels, touching cellar and bread oven will transport you to another dimension. Here you will feel the days when there was no electricity, no water, no cars, and no store in the area. Relaxing in front of the house, you don't know whether to look at the mountains or the house ...as if from another dimension. The view from the courtyard changes with each time of day. Trees swaying in the wind, cranes circling, deer approaching and sunsets that draw colors in the sky like the aurora borealis. It's better than a TV, which you won't find here. I recommend this place on Earth to all lovers of blissful relaxation, hiking, cycling, motorcyclists and children who can't peel their noses off the screen. The house chose us as its new caretakers in 2017. The renovation took over three years and was a beautiful adventure. The joy of working at the grassroots, the vision and satisfaction that came with the renovation pushed us forward like a bulldozer. Today we are bursting with happiness and pride that we accomplished this. The days when we spend time here with our friends are the most beautiful reward. A dream come true. Maybe you'll think I'm a weirdo, but I feel that this house is alive, enjoying the company, the laughter, the bustle of discussions and games. Alone for so many years, today it enjoys the presence of every visitor. I think you will also feel this bond. You are welcome! P.S.. We live in Wroclaw on a daily basis. The wife is rational and balanced, and I in hot water company with a hundred ideas to implement. By education I am a physiotherapist and a Nordic walking instructor..who knows, maybe we will meet on the route one day. See you there! Hi!
