Davoud and Tatiana made our stay very pleasant. Davoud told us about the O Castro Art Village project. An engrossing project that was born in the countryside thinking in a global world. Davoud besides being a good conversationalist is an exceptional cook. The views of the Ribeira Sacra, spectacular! The only thing to keep in mind is that the best road goes through Mourelos, the one with "panoramic views" the one the GPS sent us, better to avoid it. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. khili mamnun. We will be back!

Davoud Gerami is the founder and director of O Castro Art Village. He is a cosmopolitan traveler who believes in a world without borders, a filmmaker who lives to break the "norms" of cinematic art, a professor who teaches about dissent and questioning power, and an engineer whose dream is to build a better world. As a traveler, he has traveled both the physical world and the world of ideas for years with one goal: to observe, reflect and make sense of the condition of human beings in the Anthropocene era, as well as their interrelationships and interactions with the other inhabitants of planet Earth. As a rebellious filmmaker, he has chosen the camera as a weapon to poeticize about the contradictions of today's civilization, documenting the injustices that encapsulate and affect us, consequences of a classist, capitalist and expansionist society. As a teacher, he has sown the seed of questioning and criticism of power in many minds, while filling hearts with the hope of a universal and borderless love. As an engineer, he has set out to rebuild an abandoned village in the heart of Galicia into a multidisciplinary center for reflection, play, dialogue and community building, all through art and philosophy.
