Description
Tyrawa Solna - a village at the foot of the Slonné Mountains, in the valley of the Tyrawka River, surrounded from the north by Diabla Gora 334 m above sea level, and Zarzeczki 469 m above sea level, from the south by the Slonné Mountains range with culminations of Bucharevo 530 m above sea level, Moczarki 584 m above sea level and Słony Wierch 671 m above sea level. The name of the village and the name of the Slony Mountains comes from the salty springs from which salt was brewed as early as the Bronze Age. In 2016, during archaeological work in the village, ceramic salt installations and fragments of vessels were discovered, which were used to produce salt between 1000 BC and 700 BC. Today the San River separates Mrzygłód from Tyrawa Solna, but once the two settlements were one town. Mrzygłód was called Tyrawa Królewska (Great) and Tyrawa Solna was its suburb. It is worth noting that just beyond the bridge, which is in close proximity to Marina on the San River, is Mrzygłód. In Mrzygłód in 1417 King Wladyslaw Jagiello welcomed his future (third) wife Elisabeth Granowska, with whom he got married on May 2, 1417 at Sanok Castle, and they held their wedding at the castle in Soboń belonging to the Kmita family. Tyrawa Solna and its surroundings is an extremely picturesque area, rich in beautiful landscapes and unspoiled nature, geographically and culturally diverse, located in the San River Valley. The resort is located 20km from the largest new ski lift in Podkarpacie. It is among these picturesque areas that our year-round cottages in the Bieszczady are located.
