The manor in Udrycze is a true pearl among Polish residences, distinguished by something not often encountered - impeccable historical continuity. For nearly 250 years little has changed here. The building has survived in almost unchanged condition, with its original mass, typical 18th century amphitheatre interior layout, and authentic 19th century woodwork. It is a real rarity compared to other Polish manor houses, which often require full reconstruction. Here, history is still alive. The restoration work, which included not only the mansion, but also the outbuilding, the administrator's house and the chapel, was a great challenge, but the structure of the buildings did not have to be recreated anew - a unique testimony to the historical continuity of this place. The residence of the Udrycki family, proudly rising on a hill surrounded by an extensive park, has existed since at least 1786. Unfortunately, its early history remains shrouded in mystery, and its subsequent fate has been intertwined with various events - from a fire, which fortunately did not destroy the basic structure, to changes in ownership and the building's use as a school. Can you imagine attending school every day in such a place? The mansion in Udrycze also has special personal significance for Eliza, whose grandmother recalls playing on its steps as a child. In 2007, Eliza and her husband Jeroen decided to restore the mansion to its former splendor, acquiring it and successively renovating it with the help of her family. The renovation also included the old park, which today is once again vibrant. Now, this unique mansion opens its doors to guests, offering a unique, palatial getaway surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil waters. The interiors, full of eclectic details, create a unique atmosphere, and the delicious breakfasts served complete the experience.
