Description
It is impossible to forget the taste of grits with raspberry sauce. It was served to me by my grandmother Zosia after a day spent outside. The blazing sun, the sound of a scythe being scythed and clouds of rising dust - these are the images that come to mind when I think of the time I spent with my grandfather Johnny. Every summer I helped him with the harvest, and to this day I still smile at the memory of all those summers. The land in Jasiek was the apple of my grandfather's eye. As a boy, I watched with admiration how much energy he put into cultivating the land, how meticulously he looked after everything and tended every meter. When Jasiek was a little boy, he lived in a house that was located in the back garden of Jasiek Field. This beautiful area bordering a landscaped park became a witness to family history: in time, his grandfather married his grandmother Sophia, and their family expanded with four wonderful daughters: Stasia, Alicia, Gienia and Basia. It was their names that I named the four tents at the intimate glamping site in Grandpa's former field. Jaskowe Pole is woven with memories of childhood carefree days and vacations in the sunshine overlooking the Malopolska hills. I wanted to enchant the atmosphere of the old years in this place. If you fancy evenings by the fire, spent sharing stories and enjoying each other's presence, I invite you to the land of my childhood.
