Description
The unicorn is a magical animal. It has the power to heal and restore life. That's why it became the patron saint of Our Stables. The history of the establishment of the Society of Horse Guardians, in fact, the Stables of Rescued Horses "Unicorn" begins at different times and different places. There are 5 beginnings of horse adventures, as 5 people gave a start to the Society by buying back, on October 9, 2005, 13 horses destined for slaughter. My adventure began in 2000 when, after carefully reading "Announcements", I acquired my first horse instead of cross-country skis. If I had been able to foresee the consequences of this step at the time, my hand would probably have trembled while signing the purchase contract for a mare named Demona. Horses have always been the biggest and most wonderful dream of my life, and Demona turned out to be a wonderful embodiment of those dreams. However, since a person is rarely fully honest with himself - my first mare, shortly after acquisition, acted as a communion gift for my daughter Kasia. That's how horses (then still only in the person of Demona) entered my life, and consequently the lives of my entire family. Then came Spirit, Haga and in 2005 - all the rest, i.e. the redeemed twelve. Then came (for a short time) the mare Braila with her daughter Brytania, Kestrel, sheepdog bitches Terra and Gapa, the pig Lechia, rabbits Pasztetowa and Potrawka, the dog Budyń, the draft mare Baskinia, two goats Przekręt and Angela and 4 horses from Kolibki - Abols, Lilejnik, Kluk and Gido and in 2010 Gor. Since 2010, a number of animals have both come and gone to us. They live with us to their natural end. Conditions excellent for them, are perhaps a little modest for people, but our pets have never complained. I hope that you will also find in our stable your passions and dreams, realized or not, and also a little reflection on what our "lesser brothers" can teach us about humanity. I invite you to join the Society! P.S.. By way of an addendum, I would like to add that our stable is a modest, under-invested place, dedicated primarily to our horses, and consequently to people we offer very modest conditions: a piece of grass to put up a tent or camper, one common room with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. We do not offer the high standards of grazed camping spots, nor are we a particularly atmospheric place. My passion is horses and the whole area is subordinated to them. There are no white fences, trimmed hedges or beautiful amazons in white breeches and velvet cups.... alas. Please consider whether you are actually looking for such a place. If so - you are cordially invited!
