Description

About a kilometer and a half from our yurts, in the heart of the Low Beskids, the first oil flowed, inscribing the region in the rich history of the oil industry. The Gorlice region boasts a remarkable tradition in this field, and Gorlice is particularly famous as the birthplace of Ignacy Lukasiewicz, the inventor of the famous kerosene lamp. Today, a scenic educational trail leads along Puste Pole, the site of the first oil mine in the area, to explore this fascinating history. However, this is just one of the many traces of the past waiting to be discovered. You will find yourself in the Lemko region, a land rich in culture and history. If you feel like it, we will be happy to take you on a tour of ancient Lemko villages, where time seems to flow more slowly and the past is still present in the landscape. Our greatest passion is travel, both near and far. It was the inspiration brought back from expeditions to Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia that led us to create the yurts in Ovchary that we love so much. Their unique circular design hides something magical - it gives a sense of harmony, peace and promotes complete relaxation. To bring even more atmosphere, we equipped our yurts with handmade furniture, made from wood from the demolition of old local barns. We invite you on an exotic trip without the need to go far - to a charming forest glade surrounded by nature and steeped in the fascinating history of the Low Beskid. This is a place where wild nature meets rich cultural heritage, creating an unforgettable experience.

A very pleasant place, ideal for a break from the daily routine. Supplied with everything you could need, however, with low temperatures you need to constantly keep the fire in the fireplace which is not quite possible at night, so the yurt in the morning is frigid, but the quilt holds the heat very well, so through the night it is not noticeable. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity, so walking is rather out of the question, but if someone is looking for a remote area I heartily recommend it. I myself would gladly return.

Our stay at the Yurt in the Glade was absolutely exceptional! It's the perfect place for those looking for peace, quiet and closeness to nature. The Yurt is beautifully decorated - with attention to every detail, which creates an amazing atmosphere. Here you can fully relax and unwind in harmony with the environment. The hosts constantly on call in case of any problems! This place has a soul and we will definitely want to return here. We highly recommend anyone who dreams of a unique holiday! ❤️

Our merry family: me, Mariusz, Karol and Franek live just above the Yurts in the Low Beskid, our wonderful Beskid. Our house is located in the middle of nowhere.... but for us everything! We are surrounded by forest and unearthly views, and our neighbors are deer, squirrels and hares. Moving out of the city, we haven't even looked back. We love to travel, our life is a lot of spontaneity and unpredictable twists and turns in our heads a lot of ideas, and time is still lacking. So drop by, we will host you in our place on Earth, show a part of ourselves and tell our story.
