Description

There was a rumor going around the village that the habitat in the woods was bought by an American woman. And that she would probably make some kind of Ranch here. Excitement, however, was replaced by disappointment. Not an American, but a Pole who had traveled the world a bit. In addition, a local. And no ranch will be created. She will restore what is already there and share it with others. Because the forest is alive! So by force of momentum she refreshed two cottages. In one she has found her place on earth, and the other she has made available to those seeking sacred peace. But beware: Podlasie is not Las Vegas - in winter you have to fire yourself in the stove and fireplace, and for a range you have to go out and look for a while in the garden. Instead, the Podlasie nature, forest microclimate and cultural wealth of the region are available at hand. The interior is steeped in the folklore of the Bug River region. The silence of the forest. Snow up to the knees in winter. A little further away beaches on the Bug River, blue Orthodox churches and local farmers from whom you can buy local goods. Rumor has it that this is enough to have a decent rest and like the Podlasie exotics. Dare to check it out. Las się Zywje is the perfect place for lovers of the slow life philosophy. Here time passes more slowly and the nature surrounding the habitat brings wonderful solace. We offer our guests a 1930's wooden Forester's Cottage located in the heart of the Podlasie forest away from other habitats and the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage has been decorated in the spirit of Podlasie tradition, preserving its original interior, to which we have introduced several amenities for the convenience of our guests.

Host is an entrepreneur

Languages I speak: Polish, English, rosyjski, białoruski

A man from Podlasie will leave - Podlasie from a man never. I am the best example of this. I looked for happiness in the world, and finally realized that not a house in Bali but a log house was my destiny.... and I returned home - to Podlasie. I bought an almost 100-year-old habitat tucked away in the middle of the forest and restored the houses erected on it with respect for local folk culture. I could not do otherwise after all, I am an ethnographer. On a daily basis, I research local traditions, deal with Podlasie costumes and traditional singing. I am active in the Podlasie Belorussian Folklore Studio "Zemerwa" with which we keep local traditions alive, and I work in the ethnographic department of the Agricultural Museum in Ciechanowiec, where I dig up and recreate what has been forgotten. And so somehow my whole life revolves around folklore :)
