Plenty of attractions depending on your tastes - rafting on the Biebrza River, nearby Augustow with its aquatic adjacencies, nature footbridges with a crossing to the other bank of the Biebrza, and for history enthusiasts, a certain line of fortifications forgotten in the depths of history.

After much research and ideas such as moving an old Suwałki cottage to our own patch of land, we decided that we wanted something different, and that's exactly the place we created together. Modern, but wrapped in an ancient wilderness. It is different from all others.

A charming, modern and comfortable cottage in the middle of the forest. Surrounded by many bike trails and the possibility of canoeing. The surroundings of the cottage are cleverly organized. WiFi was a bit missing, and I think a small barbecue would have been better.

Very nice place in the forest itself, you can get away from everyday life. Interesting decor and architecture, something for people who are looking for rural tranquility in a modern setting.

A great place if you are looking for complete silence and detachment from the world of the city and the rush. Lost in the Augustów forests, the village of Podwołkuszne is really "a small end of the world". The cottage stands on a large plot in an old orchard so even on hot days you can find shade on a hammock or blanket :) everything beautifully prepared for chillout - terrace, fireplace, barbecue, bicycles, games. Amazing night views - such it can be experienced in few places in Poland! And you can watch them right from your bed through the huge windows of the house! What can be a nuisance in the changing climate is the heat. The cottage is not prepared for this and during the hot season it is so hot inside that if it were not for the installed air conditioning it would be impossible to enter or sleep there. Unfortunately, it will get worse so it is worth thinking about it. According to us, it is comfortable for 3 people - we were four and it is already a bit cramped. Also, it is impossible to sleep on the mezzanine in such hot weather rally so we had to manage somehow by spreading an extra mattress downstairs. Anyway - if you are looking for total tranquility and detachment from the world - this is THE PLACE!
