Resting in the Tuchola Forest? Why not! The surrounding forests have for many years attracted masses of tourists from all corners of Poland - even the most remote ones. Why? The answer is simple, because here you really relax.... The rustle of the trees, the singing of birds, clean and iodine-rich air, close contact with nature.... on top of that, quick access via highway from the Tri-City, Lodz, Warsaw, etc. What to want more, right? Our Settlement is located in the village of Stara Rzeka in the heart of Wdecki Landscape Park, in total seclusion. You won't find any industry or big source of noise in the area. This is one of the reasons why the first path of silence in Poland was created here, where the intensity of nature sounds is only 35-38 decibels. In the Old River Settlement you will instead find a wonderful, unique view of the Wda River and the surrounding forests, unconventional interiors with a goat-type fireplace. You'll bask in an outdoor log or sauna. You will take a walk, ride a bike, go mushroom picking. You will discover wonderful nature reserves. You will spend "quality time" here with your loved ones. We provide four separate, fully equipped cottages. Three with a usable area of 45 m2. On the first floor of each such cottage is a living room with a kitchenette and a 28 m terrace and a bathroom. Upstairs is an open space with one double bed and two single beds. The cottage is designed for two adults or a family of 2+2, 2+3 maximum 2+4. Our last cottage, is a premium cottage, which has two separate bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The bedroom overlooking the river has one double bed and a free-standing bathtub. The bedroom on the forest side has one double bed and one single bed. Downstairs there is a living room with a kitchenette and a table for six. There is also a corner sofa bed that will sleep an additional two people. We have placed a private Jacuzzi on the terrace. If you adhere to the principle of "slow" tourism, travel without a particular plan, without ticking off places from the "must see" list. What's more, you want to take a break from the daily hustle and bustle or crowded city - the Old River Settlement is the perfect place for you! You are welcome! Additional information: * The minimum rental period is 2 nights. * We do not prohibit you from coming with children, however, the booker should take into account the design and construction of the cottages, i.e. steep stairs, no railings on the backyard terraces, a large number of faults, location in the forest ( ants, mosquitoes and other insects), etc. Our property IS NOT super friendly to families with children. * We charge a refundable deposit of 500 PLN (payable in cash on site). * Sauna and balia are available to the public. Advance reservations are required. As a rule, we light the fire ourselves, and guests are asked to lay wood until the optimal water temperature is obtained. * Wood, fire starter, and campfire sticks are available to the public. * We provide firewood free of charge. * One-time fee for a pet is 200 PLN per stay. * The cost of renting an electric bicycle 70 zł/day. It is possible to order breakfast in the form of baskets. Price per adult is 100 zł ( 50 zł child under 14 years old). The minimum number of ordered breakfasts is 2. The content of breakfasts changes daily and can be composed of the following ingredients: * fresh bread * dairy products ( yogurts/butter/cottage cheese/cereal milk/cheese/veggies) * cold cuts/pastries * vegetables ( tomato/cucumber/salad/radish/paprika) * fresh squeezed juice * jam * vegetable salad * egg paste/fish * smoked fish / in vinegar * bacon / onion for scrambled eggs * pancakes * something sweet for coffee Note: the composition of breakfast depends on the preferences of guests, availability of goods, ingenuity of owners ;) A single breakfast does not contain all the ingredients listed above!
