Podlaski Zakątek consists of a large (4,500 m2) fenced plot of land on which there are two cottages - Large and Small Zakątek. Restored and modernized Podlasie houses, which are designed to give guests the pleasure of relaxation and encourage exploration of nearby nature and culture. The village has only a dozen or so farms and is surrounded on all sides by forest and fields. Our cottages stand out from their surroundings, as they retain folk elements characteristic of Podlasie in their exteriors, which are very much to the liking of our guests. However, not the building itself is the primary value. The most important are the neighborly relations we have managed to build and nature, which offers the pleasure of spending time outdoors in the form of walks, bicycle trips, feasting on the terrace or by the barbecue, long evening conversations by a blazing fire, or bathing in the nearby Repczyce lagoon or in our Berezyszcze ruska ballroom. This is an unusual place because of its proximity to Eastern culture and traditions, as well as warm and friendly neighbors. The Big Nook is a former Podlasie 65 sq. m. cottage, consisting of 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette combined with a dining and sitting area (a sofa bed can accommodate an additional 2 people). In total, the Big Nook is designed for up to 6 people. The house is bright and sunny, on one side a balcony door leads to a small terrace under an apple tree, on the other guests have a covered porch where, regardless of the weather, they can feast outside. In the living room there is a well-heated fireplace, and in case of colder days, electric radiators are installed in every room, including the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped: oven, dishwasher and all kitchen accessories for individual meal preparation. The Big Nook has to itself an individual fenced green area, of 500 m2, a place for children's play, dogs or lounging/hiking. Small Nook was created from the restoration of the former Podlasie summer kitchen. open only in season (1.04- 15.11) and designed for 2 people. It is one compact room that is a bedroom, kitchen and dining room. Next to it is a small bathroom with a shower. The height of these rooms is 2.17 m, while the adjacent small sitting area, with a balcony leading to the courtyard, is already 3.10 m high. The kitchen area is equipped with a 2-burner induction stove, there is no oven or dishwasher. At the exclusive disposal of guests is an individual, fenced, green area, with an area of 100 m2, where there is a hearth for evening feasting. In hot weather at the disposal of guests for both cottages are electric fans (one for each bedroom). In addition, garden furniture, hammocks, deck chairs will make your outdoor recreation more pleasant. The rest of the property is a large common area, where there is a fireplace and a stand with an outdoor bale - guests can purchase services related to its use upon request. The central area is well lit (lamps controlled by remote controls). In Podlaski Zakątek there are 4 bicycles for rent (3 for adults and 1 for youth). We would like to inform you that we are happy to host children, however, their presence is connected with additional fees, which should be added to the stay fee resulting from the price list: Children: 0-2 years of age stay free of charge, 3-12 years of age - additional fee outside the price list 30 PLN/day, older children should be added as an adult to the number of guests when entering the number of guests in the rental calculation. Our place is a very good base for exploring Bialowieza, Hajnówka, or Mielnik, canoeing on the Narewka River, or ride the Narrow Gauge Railway from Hajnówka through the forest. Mushroom pickers will also like our area - in mushroom season they return with full baskets of chanterelles, bay boletes or boletes. Children, but also adults, watch with interest the small and large sheep that wander through our plot twice a day - we are very happy with this "ecological" mowing. Children of our guests often ask to visit the barn or chicken coop, where they can see and pet the small animals. There are always fresh country eggs available to our guests, and in season organic vegetables from neighboring farmers. Nearby is the Green Velo bicycle trail, 2 lagoons with swimming areas.
