Description
There is a corner of Poland that seems created by the hand of nature and improved by centuries of human labor. It's a place where the land is like a mirror, the meadows are pristine, and the network of rivers and canals spins a tale of the times when the Vistula flowed freely towards the sea. This is Zulawy - a land where the past is intertwined with the present. Wooden arcaded houses hide the stories of the former inhabitants, Dutch-style windmills still guard the horizon, and willows, like guardians of time, stretch their arms over the waters. This is a space for lovers of beauty and a paradise for those who love architecture with a soul. Most travelers pass this way towards the Baltic Sea, unaware of what this extraordinary landscape hides. However, it is enough to deviate from the route to discover places such as Jazowa, a village with a rich history that was once inhabited by Mennonites. They left behind not only historic houses and cemeteries, but also a taste of tradition that can be felt in every detail. Our arcaded house from 1851 is a testament to those times. Wooden doors with woodworm ornaments, ornate balustrades, an old sideboard that evokes memories, black and white photographs on the walls - all this adds up to an atmosphere full of charm and history. Plus the smell of wood, fresh meadow and rain-warmed earth. After years of work to renovate this unique place, we invite you to a world where time passes more slowly. Four guest rooms, a shared sunny kitchen with a dining room, a spacious hallway, a game room and a vast garden await you. Jazowa, though seemingly ordinary, offers relaxation on the Nogat River, fishing, kayaking and even swimming in the river. Storks and herons are permanent residents of the place, and their presence adds a unique character to the village. Nearby, you can try crawfish soup at "Little Dutchman", rent a boat and sail the Zulawy Loop or take a narrow-gauge train through the Vistula Spit. And the mornings? Here you will be awakened by roosters crowing, heralding the mists enveloping the fields - a breathtaking sight. In the evenings we say goodbye to the day with sunsets that paint the meadows in golden-purple colors. There is no need to rush - everything is at your fingertips in Zulawy. Come and discover what life tastes like in the rhythm of nature. Get on the road!
